Week 5 of the NFL season kicks off with an NFC showdown as the Washington Commanders host the Chicago Bears. Although this is not the best matchup, it should be a competitive game, and bettors can take advantage of all the plus-money player props, including the best Thursday Night Football anytime touchdown scorer props.

While they started strong against the Broncos last week, Chicago ended up blowing a 28-7 lead in the second half and, as a result, are one of two winless teams in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Commanders are on a two-game losing streak after starting 2-0, and quarterback Sam Howell has been a turnover machine lately.

Our Thursday Night Football touchdown scorer picks went 1-1 last week, and we are back with two more touchdown prop bets tonight. We recommend checking out our favorite TNF anytime touchdown scorer picks if you want a bet with some extra value.

Bears vs. Commanders Anytime Touchdown Scorer Props

D.J. Moore

The Bears’ pass offense has just been horrible this season. They rank 21st in yards per pass, are passing for under 200 yards per game, and the offensive line has been disastrous in pass protection. Now, Justin Fields should take a lot of blame for the number of sacks they give up, as he is always looking to use his feet to keep plays alive, but that does not change the fact that the offensive line is one of the worst in the NFL.

This should be a big concern against a Washington defensive line that features Chase Young, Montez Sweat, Daron Payne, and Jonathan Allen. However, Washington’s defense has not gotten a lot of pressure this season, and the secondary has been even worse. They are allowing 7.0 yards per pass, a 64% completion percentage, and they rank in the league’s bottom half in scoring, points per play, and yards per play.

Enter D.J. Moore, who has not put up massive numbers in an inept Bears’ offense but has scored a touchdown in his last two games. He also has two 100-yard performances this season and ranks in the top 25 in the league in yards per reception. Washington gives up a lot of chunk plays through the air, and while Fields is not a great passer, he has shown some really promising growth on the deep ball, where he and Moore should thrive tonight.

Brian Robinson Jr.

The Commanders have a tremendous offensive line, especially in the run game. It helps when you have a great running back duo in Antonio Gibson and Brian Robinson. Both players are getting plenty of reps, but Robinson is seen more as the feature back, especially in their wins, as he averages 18 carries in their wins and only 12 in their losses.

Robinson also has three touchdowns this season, including one through the air, where he has seen more opportunity. With Howell taking the snaps as a first-year starter, the hesitancy to take shots would always be prevalent. This means we should expect Howell to dump it off to his running backs more often, and we have seen that already with Robinson, as he already has seven targets through four games, compared to 12 in 12 games last year.

That is not a massive amount of touches, but when talking about a touchdown scorer prop, you need all the opportunity you can get. Luckily, he has been great on the ground this season, and while the Bears have a solid front seven, they got torched last week against Denver, and some overcorrection could benefit an already solid Washington run game.

Washington is also playing as a point favorite in this matchup, and if they stay true to what Vegas is projecting, Robinson will get plenty of touches and should be in a good spot to score. Robinson does not have great value at most sports betting apps, but he is certainly worth a play tonight.

Thursday Night Football Anytime Touchdown Scorer Parlay Odds

If you are following our Thursday Night Football anytime touchdown scorer picks, you can parlay them for a much bigger payout. The odds for each touchdown prop will differ depending on the sportsbook you use. However, with two plus-money player props, you should get a good number to bet on no matter what.

At FanDuel, you can parlay Moore (+210) and Robinson (-165) to score a touchdown tonight, and you will be given +375 odds. This means that a $100 bettor would be up $375 if both players score a touchdown.
