Week 13 of the NFL season wraps with a great AFC showdown as the Jacksonville Jaguars host the Cincinnati Bengals. This should be a solid game to close out a great week of NFL action, and we are here to give out our best Monday Night Football touchdown scorer props.
The Bengals’ season has completely flipped upside down with Joe Burrow‘s season-ending injury. They are in last place in the AFC North and will start Jake Browning, who has only made one career start. Meanwhile, the Jaguars are looking to keep the momentum rolling as they have won seven of their last eight games and sit in first place in the AFC South.
If you need help finding a TD scorer prop for tonight, we have got you covered. The point total indicates a low-scoring contest, but plenty of valuable MNF touchdown prop bets remain.
Here are our favorite Bengals vs. Jaguars MNF anytime touchdown scorer picks.
Anytime Touchdown Scorer Odds
Here, we have included the best available anytime touchdown scorer betting odds for Bengals vs. Jaguars from some of our favorite sports betting apps.
Even without Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase is still one of the most dangerous receivers in the NFL. Browning does not instill much confidence in the passing game, so Cincinnati should try to keep the ball on the ground as long as possible to minimize turnover potential.
However, the Jaguars are playing as a point favorite, and that is for good reason. Even with a healthy Burrow, this offense simply does not score points. They rank 25th in yards per play and 23rd in scoring, and Cincinnati is one of the worst teams in the NFL at converting third downs.
At some point, Jacksonville will take control of this game, especially since the Bengals’ defense has been equally bad. That will cause more pass opportunities, and with an inexperienced quarterback, targeting the best receiver on the team will be crucial.
Last week, Chase led the Bengals in targets, and while he caught only four passes, he was still a real threat downfield, racking up 81 yards. Cincinnati will need to take some shots to win this game, and there is arguably no one better at ‘homerun plays’ than Chase.
Even though the Bengals’ offensive line is not very good, Jacksonville has one of the worst pass rushes in the NFL. The secondary is solid but also very leaky at times, as they rank 23rd in yards per pass.
Even though Cincinnati would be wise to keep the ball on the ground to start, at some point, they will have to trust Browning to take some shots, and when he does, Chase should be his primary target.
Outside of Trevor Lawrence, there is no more important player on this offense than Travis Etienne. On the season, he has 194 rushes for 726 yards and five touchdowns. While that is not the most efficient stat line, he is also very active in the passing game, with 48 targets, which ranks fourth on the team.
Although he has not scored a touchdown in three straight games, it is not for a lack of opportunity. Over the last three games, Etienne has 43 rushes and 13 targets. Tonight should be a busier night for him on the ground, as Cincinnati has one of the worst defenses against the run.
The Bengals rank 31st in yards per rush and 26th in rushing touchdowns per game. They also rank 29th in DVOA against the run, and they are not a great tackling team, which is a problem given that Etienne is one of the best pass-catching running backs in the NFL.
I expect Jacksonville to win this game and do so by controlling the clock and limiting the Bengals’ offensive possessions. With Browning at quarterback, limited opportunity will force him to be almost perfect, and as we saw from his first career start, he is far from that.
As long as Etienne continues to get his touches, he will be in a great spot to cash an MNF touchdown scorer prop.
Monday Night Football Anytime Touchdown Parlay Odds
If you are following our Monday Night Football anytime touchdown scorer picks, you can parlay them for a much bigger payout. The odds for each touchdown prop will differ depending on the sportsbook you use. However, with two plus-money player props, you should get an excellent number to bet on, no matter what.
At FanDuel, you can parlay Chase (+220) and Etienne (-145) to score a touchdown tonight, and you will be given +403 odds. This means that a $100 bettor would be up $403 if both players cash a touchdown scorer prop.
