Jameson Williams

Although he has not produced much in his NFL career, Jameson Williams is starting to get more comfortable in the Lions’ offense. If he can hit his full potential, there is really nothing anyone can do to stop Detroit’s high-powered attack.

He did not play much during his first season after tearing his ACL in the 2022 National Championship game, but he had one catch, which resulted in a 41-yard touchdown, and he added a 40-yard rush later in the season. Coming into this year, there were a lot of expectations for Williams’ first full season in the NFL.

However, Williams was suspended before the start of the season for violating the NFL’s gambling policy. Williams missed the first four games of the season, but it is not like the Lions have needed him. Detroit’s offense ranks sixth in yards per pass (7.3), they do not allow a lot of pressure, and Jared Goff is having one of the best seasons of his career despite the high interception rate.

Since being traded to the Lions, Goff throws the ball more downfield, where Williams thrives as a playmaker. There will not be a living soul at Ford Field on Thanksgiving faster than Williams, which puts him in a good spot to score a touchdown.

His target share is increasing weekly, and the Packers’ defense is not very good. They are giving up 6.2 yards per pass, the defensive line does not generate much push, and they are very leaky in coverage.

Brandin Cooks

In just eight starts, Brandin Cooks has matched his receiving touchdown mark from last season. While he is not getting as many targets in his first year in Dallas, that was to be expected when you share a receiver room with CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, and a solid tight end in Jake Ferguson.

However, he still finds ways to produce, as he has three touchdowns over his last five games. He also has Dak Prescott as his quarterback, who has quietly been having an MVP-caliber season. Prescott is completing 70% of his passes and has significantly reduced his interception rate. He also passes for more yards per attempt and completion, favoring a downfield threat like Cooks.

It has been a few years since Cooks was arguably the best deep threat in football, but his career has been given a little jolt in Dallas. His 13.1 yards per reception is the highest since 2020, and his yards per target is up to 8.8.

For this matchup, they are going up against the Commanders, who look like they have quit on the season. After trading away its top-two edge rushers at the deadline, Washington’s defense has become the worst in the NFL. They rank last in scoring (27.7), and they give up huge chunk plays, primarily through the air.

The secondary for Washington has always been suspect, but now that they cannot get pressure on the quarterback, the defense is Swiss cheese. The Cowboys’ offensive line is not as great as it once was, but it still gives Prescott plenty of time to read the defense and find the open man.

Washington’s secondary will likely be focused on Lamb the entire game, which should leave Cooks open to cash a touchdown scorer prop.

George Kittle

Contrary to popular belief, the San Francisco 49ers are not dead.

After a mid-season slump, San Francisco has won two straight games, and Brock Purdy is once again playing at an All-Pro level. Over his last two games, Purdy is completing 78% of his passes for 629 yards and six touchdowns to zero interceptions.

Two of those touchdowns went to his favorite target, George Kittle. Since Purdy became the starter in San Francisco, he and Kittle have had a strong connection. This is not shocking, considering most inexperienced quarterbacks tend to lean on tight ends, but Purdy to Kittle is something special.

In 19 career games together, Kittle has 82 catches for 1,192 yards and 15 touchdowns, including five this season. Since Purdy took over, Kittle has benefited, which should continue on Thanksgiving.

The Seahawks have a ton of talent on defense, especially in the secondary, but they’re also very leaky. They rank 14th in yards per play, and while they have not allowed a lot of touchdowns to opposing tight ends, they give up seven targets per game, which is more than enough wiggle room for Kittle to find the end zone.

Seattle’s defense also has trouble getting off the field on third downs, and they rank 28th in red zone touchdown rate. Kittle has always been a threat in the red zone, and in his last two matchups against the Seahawks, he has four touchdowns and 274 receiving yards on 17 targets.
