Week 13 of the NFL season started with a tremendous Thursday Night Football matchup as the Cowboys took down the Seahawks, 41-35. This should continue into an incredible Sunday slate of action, and we are here to give out the best Week 13 NFL anytime touchdown scorer props.
There are a few attractive afternoon games to watch and place an anytime TD scorer prop. However, the main attraction occurs in the evening slate, with 49ers vs. Eagles at 4:25 p.m. ET and a great SNF matchup as the Green Bay Packers host the Kansas City Chiefs.
Here, we will give out our best touchdown prop bets from some of our top-rated sports betting apps for each slate of games (afternoon, evening, and Sunday night).
Let’s look at our three favorite NFL anytime touchdown scorer picks for Week 13.
There are so many great tight ends in the NFL right now, and the rookie out of Iowa is slowly climbing that list. Through his first 11 games, Sam LaPorta ranks fifth in targets (77) and touchdowns (5) among tight ends this season.
Playing in one of the more pass-heavy offenses in the NFL certainly helps, but LaPorta has a good matchup against a Saints’ defense that struggles defending tight ends. New Orleans’ defense, as a whole, is pretty solid. They rank ninth in scoring (20.2), seventh in yards per pass (6.0), and 10th in touchdowns per game (2.1).
The Saints also only allow 196.3 yards per game, but tight ends account for just under 50 of those yards. They also have allowed six touchdowns to opposing tight ends, which is tied with Philadelphia and Denver for the most this season.
Even though New Orleans’ defense is hard to move around, the Lions have one of the most high-powered offenses in the NFL. They rank third in yards per play, and Detroit has run the ball very well this season, which should help against a Saints’ defense allowing 4.5 yards per rush.
LaPorta is typically a safe option when the Lions reach the red zone. On 10 red zone targets this season, LaPorta has six catches for three touchdowns. The Saints are allowing teams to convert red zone trips into touchdowns a little under 55% of the time, which ranks 19th in the NFL.
Last week, New Orleans limited Atlanta’s tight ends to only two receptions for 22 yards. Based on their performance against tight ends this season, LaPorta should be able to cash on an anytime TD scorer prop.
The game of the week is a rematch of last season’s NFC Championship game. With two great teams going at it, it may be tricky to find a reliable anytime TD scorer prop bet. However, Deebo Samuel is fully healthy for what feels like the first time in years, and his production reflects that.
Over his last three games, Samuel has gotten a ton of touches. He has 14 receptions for 172 yards, as well as eight rushing attempts for 43 yards and a touchdown. While he may never get back to his incredible 2021 level, Samuel is still the most versatile offensive weapon in the NFL.
Pound for pound, the Eagles’ defense is still one of the best units in the league, but they are allowing too many points per game. They rank 20th in scoring and 23rd in touchdowns per game, and they have trouble getting off the field, ranking 30th in third down conversion rate.
After a mid-season lull, Brock Purdy and the 49ers’ offense is back to dominating. On the season, San Francisco ranks second in yards per play and third in points per play, and they’re picking up nine yards per pass.
The defense also ranks first in scoring, and they do not allow a lot of chunk plays. Philadelphia should be able to move the ball, but I trust the 49ers’ defense to get enough stops, giving the offense more opportunities to score.
With the Eagles’ struggles at defending tight ends, George Kittle is also worth a look here, but Samuel gets way too many opportunities to ignore his touchdown scorer odds.
These last few weeks have not been that great for Travis Kelce and the Chiefs, but the star tight end is still among the most targeted players in the NFL. He may be playing hurt, but that has not stopped Patrick Mahomes from looking his way.
Kelce hurt his ankle against the Vikings in Week 5; since then, he has not been quite the same. However, he still has 51 targets and two touchdowns on 43 receptions. This week, he is going up against a Packers’ defense that does not allow a lot of targets to tight ends but also is giving up 50 yards per game.
Green Bay will be getting back some starters on defense, especially linebacker De’Vondre Campbell. But Kelce and Mahomes have carved up too many great defenses to be too worried about which unit they are facing.
The Packers’ defense does rank 10th in scoring, but they are league-average in yards per play, rush, and pass. The pass-rush is getting better, but it still is not good enough to really concern me against a good Chiefs pass-pro.
Green Bay is also among the best in the red zone, but they rank 22nd in third down conversion rate, and Kansas City is one of the best teams in the NFL at keeping drives alive. As long as Mahomes keeps looking his way, which he typically does, Kelce will have plenty of chances to score a touchdown.
