Have you ever wanted to go to Maine for some lobster? Well, if you don’t have time to fly there or it’s not in your budget, you still can experience some authentic Maine Lobster right here on the Las Vegas Strip.
Luke’s Lobster is located at 3200 S. Las Vegas Blvd. on the patio outside of Fashion Show Mall. It is outdoor dining from a lobster stand like you would expect to find on ocean boardwalk not under the neon lights of Las Vegas. Once you taste a lobster roll from here you will believe you are at the ocean.
Luke Holden, founder of Luke’s Lobster, believes it doesn’t take a master chef to make a great lobster roll. It takes great lobster. Luke knows where to get the best as he goes directly to the local lobsterman, who bring the catches to shore.
The lobster goes directly from the docks to Luke’s Seafood Company where they steam it, pick the meat out and pack it in protective bags for shipping directly to Luke’s Lobster restaurants.
I’ve had plenty of lobster rolls in my day but this is by far the best. It’s loaded with big chunks of lobster. No filler like so many places do. It’s served on a grilled New England split-top bun. They also have both crab and shrimp rolls as well. I want to try these on a future visit. If you can’t decide which one, you want try their taste of Maine, as it’s three half-rolls of lobster, crab and shrimp.
Luke’s also has fresh soups, New England clam chowder and lobster bisque. On this visit I had the bisque and it was excellent.
Adding to the taste of Maine they serve micro brews from Maine to give you even more of the local flair. They also have bottled sodas from Maine.
My waitress suggested the Blueberry soda, she said it was the most popular. Good but a little too sweet for my taste.
So if you are walking the Strip or just had a hectic day of shopping at Fashion Show Mall and want something different to eat, take a quick trip to Maine and head outside to Luke’s for the best Lobster Roll I have had. I give it 3.75 Forks.
