About Cole Rush
Cole Rush writes words. A lot of them. Most of those words can be found at gambling publications such as iGaming Business, Gaming Today, Bonus.com, MidwestSharp.com, ICE 365, and IGB North America. Cole also covers pop culture and books for Tor.com and TheQuillToLive.com. Cole has more than 8 years of experience writing about gambling and entertainment.
Prior to becoming a freelance journalist and writer, he managed corporate communications for a major digital gaming supplier. After a pandemic-spurred layoff, he made the freelance leap and never looked back.
A Chicago native, Cole’s favorite teams are, predictably, da Bears and da Bulls. He also enjoys a Chicago-style hot dog whenever he can get it. When he visits the casino, you’ll most likely find him betting on golf, playing Mississippi Stud, or eyeing the roulette wheel. A midwesterner through and through, Cole studied creative writing at The University of Iowa. However, he stopped wearing the school’s gear in public for fear of strangers asking him about the football team, which he does not follow. You can find most of Cole’s work in one place: ColeRush.com.
