The Seattle Kraken generate more respect by the numbers but remain the underdog in trying to usher the defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche from the playoffs in Game 6 at home.

Seattle bettors will view that as a golden opportunity. Colorado backers may consider it a belief in the veteran Avs team.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Seattle Kraken Game 6 Odds

Seattle, leading 3-2 in games for this opening post-season series, is +135 on the moneyline and -195 on the puck line.

That is different than before Game 5 — won by the Kraken 3-2 on the road — in which Seattle was +155 on the moneyline and -155 on the puck line.

There remains doubt at the sportsbooks that the home dog can make the monumental leap to complete the series triumph, but there is increased faith in this team for Game 6.

Colorado was +135 on the puck line before Game 5 and is +165 to win by more than one goal, indicating a tougher task ahead in this game.

Colorado’s biggest margin of 6-4 came in Game 3 in Seattle.

Seattle has scored first in every game this series. Bettors who took Colorado in-game after that point have thus cashed two tickets. That’s better than the league-wide pattern, in which the team scoring first is 28-9 in this round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The Under has enjoyed a field day, going 4-1.

The winning team in every game has won the Race to 3 Goals prop. Seattle has finished with exactly three goals in each of its victories. Colorado has one triumph with three goals and it won the only shootout of this series, 6-4 in Game 3.

One team has held a two-goal advantage at some point in every game this series.

Seattle has won its last four games as a home dog facing a team coming off a loss.

Seattle has captured eight of its last nine Central Division matchups.

Seattle and Colorado have gone Under the total in eight of their last nine matchups.

Avalanche vs. Kraken Game 6 Props

MacKinnon +100. He notched the Avs’ first goal in Game 5.

Rantanen +105. He had two in Game 3 and Game 4 and with no goals in Game 5, could be due.

Artturi Lehkonen + 280. Notched perhaps Colorado’s most important goal of the series, a marker that cut Seattle’s lead from 2-0 to 2-1 in Game 2. Colorado went on to win 3-2 and get back in the series.

Jordan Eberle +280. Had the winning overtime tally in Game 4.

Schwartz +350. A sparkplug for Seattle. Had the first and last goal in Game 3.

The first goal scorer is always a crapshoot, but an excellent payday if it connects.

Prices are big here again.

To Score First:

Rantanen +750

MacKinnon +800

Schwartz +800

Lehkonen +1700

Evan Rodrigues +1800

Avalanche vs. Kraken Betting Trends

Early wagering at DraftKings reflects the debate on the game itself. Is Seattle good enough to notch three consecutive victories over Colorado, knocking the Avs from the playoffs, or will the battle-tested Avs deliver in the clutch?

The puck line is a 50-50 split on the handle, while Seattle has generated 67% of the tickets at +1.5.

The Over is favored via 63% of the handle and 53% of the tickets. This would seem to be a nod toward Colorado, the only team to tally more than four goals in an individual game this series.

The slick contrarians prevailed in this category in Game 5. The Under 5.5 generated only 19% of the handle and 21% of the tickets in Game 5.

There has been a thread throughout the playoff round that bettors support a high-scoring game and an Avalanche victory.

But Seattle has been able to thwart that pattern.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Seattle Kraken Game 6 Betting Takeaways

Road goaltenders have sparkled in this series.

Kraken netminder Phillip Grubauer stopped 98-of-104 pucks in the three games at Colorado for a save percentage over 94%.

Colorado goalie Alexandar Georgiev halted 63-of-70 shots in Games 3 and 4 in Seattle. While that’s only a 90% save percentage for both games, he stopped 38-of-41 shots in Game 4, nearly 93%.

The excellence of both goalies is one reason the Under has been prevailing for bettors.

Avalanche vs. Kraken Game 6 Prediction

Kraken ML. Team has managed to view playoffs as a joy ride, not a pressure cooker. Should view Game 6 as an opportunity, not win-or-else, as Colorado must.
