Race 9: A listed stakes to be run at one and one sixteenths mile. Trainer Michael Maker has three starters in this race and we certainly prefer two of them. Top choice is No. 3 Faraway Kitten. He hopped at the start of his last race, ran a close sixth, and still managed to run a big sheet figure. It was also on a “good” turf course, which is what is listed today. No. 6 Temple loves Gulfstream. Three wins and a second in Hallandale Beach. No. 13, Todd Pletcher’s Halladay always tries hard and has respectable speed figures.
