Gulfstream
Race 6: Closing day at one of the only major tracks to remain open in North America. We rarely handicap maiden races but this one is unique. Seven furlongs on the dirt for three year old’s. Top choice is first time starter No. 3 Rare Stripe. Love when trainer Shug McGaughey runs horses at seven furlongs, that he’s a home bred, and especially dig the workout pattern. No. 12 Dr. Post bobbled at the start of his debut race. If that doesn’t occur today, he should have clear sailing on the outside. No. 6 Nocturnal is the “other” Pletcher horse who may get lost on the tote board.
