If you haven’t been to Palace Station lately, you aren’t going to recognize it as the transformation has been amazing. They finished the renovation of the sportsbook just in time for football season.

Station properties all over the valley have the nicest sportsbooks for non-Strip casinos as they continue to cater to local clientele.

Palace Station just opened two more restaurants, and I was able to try the new burger place called b.B.d’s – Beers Burgers Desserts. The décor is very hip; the minute you walk in you know it is going to be a fun experience.

The music was rock and heavy metal as they are catering to a different crowd than you would usually expect here. Walking down the hallway to the hostess stand you will see various meats hanging in the cooler as they process all the meats used right on site; another thing I thought was nice about the restaurant.

Their signature burger and star of the show is their Prime Dry Aged Steakhouse Burger, a 12 ounce fresh beef patty cooked over cherrywood and Canadian charcoal served on a toasted brioche bun with lettuce, red onion and tomato. It comes with a side of shoestring fries. You can add various types of cheese.

At $20, it’s slightly higher than most gourmet burger joints on the Strip, but the quality was excellent, not average burger. They do offer lower priced burgers for the smaller appetite.

Those who like several choices for fries will love the five different offerings including shoestring, crinkle cut sweet potato, waffle, seasoned curly and tater tots.

The food was good with nice size portions. I give the b.B.d’s Beers Burgers Desserts a rating of 3.50 Forks.
