NFL Week 1 Sports Betting Offers & Promotions
Bet $5, win $200 on any NFL Team to win (new users only)
Confident in a particular week 1 NFL matchup? This is the perfect offer for you. New users at FanDuel can bet $5 on any NFL team’s moneyline during week 1. If the bet wins, it pays $200. The win comes in cash, not site credit, which means you can withdraw the winnings if your bet hits.
To claim this offer, simply sign up for FanDuel, make a first-time deposit, then place your first wager on any NFL team to win their matchup. Remember to place your bet on the moneyline–spreads and totals won’t count.
This bet replaces FanDuel’s usual $1,000 risk-free bet offer for new users, so choose wisely!
One risk-free NFL week 1 bet for all FanDuel customers
All FanDuel users can claim a single risk-free NFL bet during week 1: 9/6 through 9/13. Check the promos page for details, and be sure to opt-in. Similar bonuses have had a $10 cap (FanDuel ran a $10 CFB risk-free bet last week), so expect some sort of maximum threshold on the bet.
Get $20 in free bets for NFL week 1
Both new and existing users are eligible for BetMGM’s free bet promotion for the NFL’s opening week. Simply log into your account between Monday, September 6, and Thursday, September 9, to receive a $10 free bet. Do this again on Friday through Sunday of the same week to receive another $10 free bet.
These bets are limited to NFL action for this week only. Users must log into the sportsbook through the desktop website or mobile app to receive the free bets.
Receive $5 free bet after placing $10 in wagers
BetMGM has another simple way to get a free bet during the first week of the season. Place $10 or more in cumulative bets toward NFL action and that bettor instantly receives the $5 free bet. Note that this is $10 in bets on the Thursday night contest and Sunday slate of action, not for Monday Night Football. This free wager can be placed on any sport the bettor desires.
No, bettors cannot use one of their initial $10 free bets and receive another free bet. $10 of wagers from the bettor’s cash account is needed. Minimum odds of -200 are needed to be eligible. The free bet will expire after seven days.
New Users: Bet $1 during the first week, get $200 in free bets
For those that do not have a DraftKings account, there’s a great way to instantly boost bankroll heading into the new season. Between August 9th and September 13th, new users must deposit at least $5 into their account and make a $1 or more bet on any NFL game in week 1. The $200 bonus will instantly be applied to the account after the wager is placed.
The award will be split up into eight $25 free bets and available for seven days. These free bets must be used in that time frame or they will expire. Users are unable to transfer nor redeem these awards for cash.
This process is also applicable when betting on a college football game. Users are eligible in the following states: Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. New states will be included in the offer when DraftKings Sportsbook launches in the area.
NFL Risk-Free Single Game Parlay for Week 1
Prior to kickoff of any game in the first week, bettors can place a risk-free Single Game Parlay through DraftKings. After opting into the promotion, simply put together an SGP wager and place it. At least two legs are needed to make an SGP bet, and each additional leg must boost the odds.
Up to $25 will be refunded back to the bettor as a free bet if it loses. The free bet will be given shortly after the wager settles as a loss. Live bets will not be available for this promotion, and no free bets cannot be used.
Tampa Bay +73 No Brainer
One of the easiest bets on the board is DraftKings’ No Brainer bet for the NFL regular season opener. Tampa Bay is available as a whopping 73-point underdog at the spread against Dallas! That means Tom Brady and the Buccaneers would have to lose by 74 points for the bet not to cash. In Tampa Bay’s history, the largest point spread loss has happened between Bay Area opponents with 45-point defeats against San Francisco (2011) and Oakland (1999).
The bet must be entered by kickoff at 8:20 PM Eastern on September 9. Odds are set at -110. DraftKings notes that “max wager limits apply,” but doesn’t list a specific limit. This means some accounts may have different limits on how much they can bet. Multiple bettors have posted on social media that up to a $50 bet goes through.
Get NFL jersey after placing $100 worth of bets in September
Throughout the first week and remaining month of NFL action, Caesars Sportsbook is adding tremendous value to their wagers. Bettors that accumulate at least $100 worth of NFL action qualify for an NFL jersey! Regardless of the bets winning or losing, once $100 has been put down within the NFL markets in the month of September, bettors receive a $150 gift card that is used at NFLShop.com to purchase a jersey. All of the traditional, authentic NFL jerseys are available at this price point, including draft, game day, and alternate options.
Offer is available in Colorado, DC, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Arizona when the state goes live on August 9. This is available to new and existing users, and the initial risk-free bet can be used in conjunction with this offer. Users must opt in to receive the promotion. Simply enter an email address that the NFL gift card should be delivered to and click on the opt-in button prior to making bets.
Tom Brady to throw for 1+ yard (Boosted to +100)
That’s all it takes! While the prop would realistically not be a traditional option, PointsBet gives their bettors an opportunity to slightly increase their bankroll. A max bet limit of $10 can be used with boosted odds of +100.
This prop went live on August 5th and will be available up to kickoff on September 9th. It is available in all states where legal.
Thursday Night Football: $20 risk-free single game parlay
Another feature for the NFL’s regular-season opener is a risk-free single game parlay. Bettors can receive up to $20 of their money back in free bets on their first SGP attempt. Betting markets must fall under SGP eligibility noted within PointsBet and at least three legs are needed to qualify. The offer is available now, but it is not known if this special will be available throughout the season.
Sunday Night Football: $20 risk-free bet
The NFL’s premier contest on Sunday night will also feature a risk-free betting opportunity. Up to $20 on a wager is risk-free for any market with minimum odds set at -200. As long as a single bet is within that limit, up to $20 will be given back in free bets if the first one doesn’t hit. The risk-free bet for Sunday Night Football will be available throughout the month of September.
No Juice football spreads (Boosted to +100)
All NFL games during the first week of the season will be featured in PointsBet’s No Juice promotion. The “juice” refers to the cut that sportsbooks take for bets. For example, football spreads are often based on an even chance of the situation occurring. They are frequently offered with -110 odds instead of exactly doubling that money. PointsBet removes that juice and boosts those odds to +100!
No Juice offers will happen approximately 48 hours prior to kickoff. Bettors have the opportunity to parlay these odds with other markets that do not have the promotion. These bets are available prior to the game only and there will be no cash out opportunity.
