UFC 299 Prop Odds

Dustin Poirier vs. Benoit Saint-Denis

Methods of Victory

This is going to be an absolute war. Dustin Poirier is one of the most dangerous fighters in the UFC. With 22 of his 29 fights (75.9%) ending with a finish, including his last five matches, Poirier prefers to let his skills decide his fate instead of the judges.

Meanwhile, Benoit Saint-Denis is literally nicknamed the “God of War.” All 13 of his career wins were stopped (four by knockout, nine by submission). This bout has the potential to be the fight of the year, and we can almost bank on a finish.

Look for Saint-Denis to try to take the former interim champ to the ground where he’ll implement his wide range of grappling skills and land an early finish. The odds are great, too (+165 at FanDuel).

Sean O’Malley vs. Marlon Vera

Methods of Victory

Sean O’Malley defends the Bantamweight belt for the first time as champion, and many Suga Show fans are going to be tempted to put some cash on the striker’s knockout prop, and rightfully so. He claimed the title by knocking out Aljamain Sterling, and six of his last seven wins came by way of KO/TKO.

However, his opponent, Marlon Vera, has not been finished (knocked out or submitted) in 32 career MMA fights, so keep that in mind before you rush to bet on the Suga Show knockout.

If you’re looking to ride with the champ but you don’t want to lay so much juice, then look toward his line to win by decision at plus-money odds.
