Use Bonus Code: TODAY

New bettors who sign up for BetMGM with our promo code TODAY get access to an exclusive welcome bonus worth up to $1,500.

The way it works is simple. Sign up and make a deposit at BetMGM Sportsbook. Place your first bet and wait for it to settle. One of two possible outcomes will occur:

  1. Your bet wins: You receive the winnings and the bonus expires.
  2. Your bet loses: BetMGM returns your wager as bonus bets.

With this bonus, you receive your bet back as bonus credit if it loses. The maximum amount of bonus credits you can receive is $1,500. If that’s too steep a wager for you, don’t worry. You can place a wager you’re comfortable with and receive bonus bets equal to it. As the Bluths of Arrested Development might say: “There’s always money in the banana stand.” Consider BetMGM your banana stand if you’re new to sports betting!

Now that you’ve got the bonus details locked in, let’s look at some of the headlining CFB matchups taking place this Saturday, Nov. 18.

Michigan vs. Maryland

Some say speak of the devil and he shall appear, but that’s not the case for Michigan this week. Coach Jim Harbaugh has been suspended from the remainder of his team’s 2023 regular season games for his involvement in a sign-stealing scandal. As of this writing, it’s unclear who will coach the Wolverines heading into tonight’s matchup with the Terrapins. Harbaugh continues to coach during the week, but he’s banned from the venue during game day.

The Wolverines enter this contest with an undefeated 10-0 record, and even without Harbaugh, the team is probably hoping that a winning mindset will trickle down to whoever takes the helm (Ronald Reagan’s rotting head is rolling in its grave for that trickle-down analogy; I just know it).

Simply put, sports betting apps don’t seem to think Michigan will have any trouble trouncing Maryland in this away game. The moneyline is a staggering -1400 (Best Live Odds: ) on the Wolverines, and BetMGM gives Michigan a -19.5 point spread (Best Live Odds: ). I’d stay away from both given that Michigan is mired by controversy. Instead, look to the total, where an Over 50.5 bet (Best Live Odds: ) looks like a nice play this week.

Texas vs. Iowa State

It’s Longhorns versus Cyclones in one of this week’s NCAA night games. Texas comes into the game with a 9-1 record, and star running back Jonathon Brooks is the talk of the town. As for his skill in the backfield? To borrow a phrase from They Might Be Giants in their tune Tippecanoe and Tyler Too: “T’will only help to speed the ball.” That proved to be the case in last week’s game against the TCU Horned Frogs, in which Brooks nabbed 21 carries for 104 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Longhorns to a 3-point win.

Though the Cyclones come spinning into this game on the heels of a 45-13 win over BYU, BetMGM and other sportsbooks give Texas the edge. At BetMGM, the Texas moneyline is -300 (Best Live Odds: ). Sure, there’s technically value there, but it’s a stretch. The Texas point spread at -7.5 (Best Live Odds: ) is my pick for this week. The Longhorns should put Iowa State to bed by a field goal and change.

Georgia vs. Tennessee

The Georgia Bulldogs are one of those “don’t hate me ’cause you ain’t me” teams, a perennially capable program and the bane of every opponent’s existence. That’s certainly the case this year; the Bulldogs have marched to a 10-0 record, and Tennessee doesn’t exactly scream “upset.”

The Georgia moneyline is -400 (Best Live Odds: ), just a smidge too low to drive much value, but the 10.5-point spread (Best Live Odds: ) is enticing. Georgia’s closest game this season was against Auburn, where the Bulldogs won by 7 points. A 9-point put-down of Mizzou was the next closest. Otherwise, Georgia has handily demolished every other team it’s met this season: 52-17 against Ole Miss, 43-20 versus Florida, and 45-3 over Ball State to name a few.

An 11+ point victory over Tennessee seems completely within the realm of possibility this week. Spring for the point spread, break out the Bud Light (Dilly Dilly!), and enjoy the game.
