First off I would just like to thank all the wonderful people who showed up for our Breeders’ Cup Seminar this past Thursday at Palace Station, the place rocked.

Congratulations to the great American Pharoah. Now we will wait for little Pharoahs to grow up in a few years.

Thanks for the emails on one of my horses to watch that ran in the BC Juvenile Swipe who somehow went off at almost 30-1 and finished second. His nemesis, the undefeated Nyquist, changed tactics and came from well out of it in a great ride by Mario Gutierrez with the $2 exacta paying $191.40. My other two selections in the race, Brody’s Cause and Exaggerator, finished third and fourth keying a $2 tri paying $1,394.60 and a $2 superfecta paying $5,535.40.

There are still several undefeated teams in college football with the playoffs still wide open. The big game this week has undefeated LSU traveling to Nick Saban country to take on the Crimson Tide.

We had a small winning week last weekend and now let’s get to work.

CFB
Thursday

Baylor -17.5 at Kansas St.: Undefeated Baylor, still reeling from getting shafted last year, doesn’t want to make any mistakes this year. We know Kansas State has had a tough time after narrow losses to Oklahoma State and TCU. After those two losses the wheels fell off and they scored just 9 total points in their next two games. The have had an extra week off to get ready for this game. The Wildcats only lost by 11 at Baylor last year and we see they have gone 8-0 ATS when getting extra rest. KANSAS ST.

Friday

BYU -13 at San Jose State: The Cougars have been on a roll since being shut out at Michigan, winning four in a row in fine style, and they catch the Spartans off extra rest and that has not been good. San Jose is 0-7 ATS with rest. BYU.

Saturday

Texas Tech +7.5 at W. Virginia: Ya think they will be scoring any points in this game! The Red Raiders have given up 63 and 70 in their last two games while the Mountaineers have given up 62 and 40 in their last two. This is a big revenge game for Tech who lost at home to WVU last year, 37-34. They have not fared well in that situation going 1-11 ATS when getting 14 or less points but we still will not lay the points. How high can they make this total? OVER.

Kentucky +15 at Georgia: Let’s see, the Bulldogs scored 9 points two weeks ago vs. Missouri and 3 points last week vs. Florida when losing 27-3, and they have gone 0-8 ATS at home when coming off a double digit loss. Kentucky has gone 5-0 away when coming off a double digit loss and playing a team off a loss. We will take the points with the underdog. KENTUCKY.

Vanderbilt +20 at Florida: UF’s only loss came vs. LSU, 35-28, in Baton Rouge. They play great defense and off the 24-point win last week against Georgia should shut out Vandy who is averaging just 10 points a game in their last five. Vandy could only get 17 vs. Middle Tenn. FLORIDA/UNDER.

Cincinnati +9 at Houston: The host Cougars have quietly gone 8-0 but now their season really gets underway. If they get past the Bearcats this week they have Memphis lying in wait. They lost at Cincy on the road last year, 38-31. Cincy covered the +9 at Memphis this year and should give the Cougars all they want. CINCINNATI.

Arizona +17.5 at USC: The Wildcats got drilled last week by Washington, 49-3, after losing to Washington State the previous week, 45-42, both as the favorite. We think they show up this weekend as they have gone 11-0 ATS away when seeking revenge coming off a SU and ATS loss. Zona is 6-0 ATS as dogs when coming off a SU loss. ARIZONA.

TCU -4 at Oklahoma State: The undefeated Horned Frogs travel to Stillwater to take on the undefeated Cowboys who crushed them last year, 42-9. This will be a real shootout with two high scoring teams trading punches. We will take the 4 for the simple reason of revenge and the fact the Horned ones have gone 0-6 ATS when coming off a SU and ATS win. OKLAHOMA ST./OVER.

Navy +9.5 at Memphis: The Midshipmen are no slouch as their only loss came in South Bend vs. the Irish and they may catch undefeated Memphis looking ahead to their huge game with Houston next week. Navy has also gone 7-0 ATS when coming off back-to-back wins and playing a team that is .500 or higher. NAVY.

California +6 at Oregon: Perfect spot for the rejuvenated Ducks off a huge win at Arizona State last week as a dog. Oregon is 10-0 ATS when coming off a SU dog win and playing a team off a SU loss. OREGON.

CFB Last Week: 5-3-0

CFB Season: 47-32-1

NFL
Sunday

Raiders +5.5 at Steelers: Pittsburgh is sitting at 4-4 and can ill afford many more losses. They find a good spot here for the win and cover as the Raiders travel cross country. STEELERS.

As always, get off that couch, get out and make some parlay card bets. And remember, a 10-team parlay card is a “must bet” as you could be walking around lucky and not even know it.

NFL Last Week: 0-1-0

NFL Season: 5-8-0
