There is a dead-even split among Bookies Battle contestants on both of Sunday’s NFL conference championship games. Bengals vs. Chiefs in the AFC and 49ers vs. Rams in the NFC both see five bookmakers on either side.
Contestants laying 7 points with the Chiefs appear headed for solid closing-line value, as the spread has ticked up around the betting market: to -7 (-120) at DraftKings, -7.5 (-104) at FanDuel, and -7.5 flat at the South Point, whose policy is never to waiver from the standard -110 vig.
BetMGM’s Jeff Stoneback: ‘Won’t be surprised to see’ Vegas painted Chiefs -7.5 come Sunday
The 49ers-Rams trilogy, meanwhile, appears rooted at L.A. -3.5. That’s where the number has been pretty much all week, and it’s where the line closed in this season’s previous two meetings between these NFC West rivals.
Here’s how the Conference Championship picks of the 10 bookmakers still competing for the $1,000 play prize breaks down:
Team | Number of picks (of 11 contestants) | Contest line (Tuesday) | Market line (Friday afternoon) |
---|---|---|---|
Bengals | 5 | +7 | +7.5 (-120) |
Chiefs | 5 | -7 | -7.5 (even) |
49ers | 5 | +3.5 | +3.5 |
Rams | 5 | -3.5 | -3.5 |
