During football season I like to hit as many different sports bars with team affiliations as possible. It’s nice to go to a bar where everyone is rooting for the same team.

I will often go to a team bar that I have a Big Bet on that day. Yes, I believe in strength in numbers. Or if my team is losing: Misery loves company.

If you are an Ohio State or Cleveland Browns fan head over to the Boulevard Bar & Grille located at 9860 Las Vegas Blvd. South, right across the street from South Point Casino.

The Bar and dining room are separated by a glass wall, so smokers can smoke in the bar area and diners can eat in the dining room smoke free. The bar area has several TV’s all around so no matter where you sit you have plenty of games to watch. In the dining room they have four TV’s going across the back wall so you have plenty of action for your viewing pleasure.

The menu is pretty extensive as they have all the usual bar food items from appetizers, wings, sliders, burgers and a wide array of sandwiches. They also serve pizza and Stromboli. Just with all these items you have plenty to eat. There is also a full selection of Italian dishes and pastas.

One of my favorite things to get at BB&G is the build your own pasta. Offered are seven different types of pasta, including whole wheat for their health conscious customers. Next you pick a sauce. They offer eight.

There are 23 different items you can add to your pasta ranging from meatballs, sausage, chicken and shrimp to vegetables and special seasonings. On this trip I went with Linguini as my pasta, I got the Aglio Olio Sauce and added grilled chicken breast. This is one of my favorite combinations. I have had their meat sauce several times on various pastas and have always been pleased. I’m a hard critic when it comes to my meat sauce.

They have several Italian specialty dishes like chicken, veal and eggplant parmigiana. There is also Chicken Piccata along with Chicken Marsala. Daily specials include All You Can Eat Fish Fry on Friday’s for $10.99 and All You Can Eat Pasta on Sunday’s for just $9.99.

So whether you are looking for some good bar food or want a full meal, the Boulevard Bar & Grille has you covered. I give it 3.50 Forks.
