SANTA ANITA

Race 1

Wesley Ward comes to town and he sends out three runners here going down the hill in the $100k Juvenile Turf sprint. No. 1 Con Te Partiro who is on a nice win every other race pattern and this is her win race and the No. 2 Awsum Roar off a maiden win. No. 10 Kitten’s Cat looks like he will like this course on the turn back in distance. Wards other runner is No. 9 Red Lodge with Irad taking over. 1-9-10

Race 2

THE $200K GOLDEN STATE JUVENILE AT 7 FURLONGS

No. 4 California Diamond looks like a solid single in the pick five as he is a perfect 3 for 3 here at the Santa Anita. The upset could come from No. 8 Milton Freewater from off the place. 4**-8

Race 3

THE $100K SENATOR KEN MADDY GOING DOWN THE HILL

No. 2 Acapulco has won both of her stateside starts and gets the world class Ryan Moore in the irons for Wesley Ward. No. 4 Most Beautiful is a nice price play at 12/1 on the morning line. No. 14 Miss Katie Mae is another nice price play at 12/1 on the morning line with Prat getting his second try off a near miss here in her last start down the hill. 2-4-14

Race 4

THE $2 MILLION BC JUVENILE FILLY AT 1-1/16

No. 5 Sweet Loretta comes off a big win in the Grade I Spinaway at Saratoga, she looks for her 4th straight win. Baffert sends out two runners: No. 10 Noted and Quoted off a big Grade I win at this distance last out and the highly regarded No. 12 American Gal who has been working a hole in the wind.

5-10-12

Race 5

THE $2 MILLION BC FILLY AND MARE TURF AT 1-1/4

World class trainer Aidan O’Brien sends out the classy No. 3 Seventh Heaven with Moore, she will be ultra tough in here. No. 8 Lady Eli looks the main danger. No. 12 Pretty Perfect is the stablemate of Seventh Heaven and at 15/1 we must use. 3**-8-12

Race 6

No. 6 Lord Nelson looks the best and will get the perfect setup from off the pace. We will play a tri using No. 2 Drefong his stablemate, No. 5 A. P. Indian and No. 7 Masochistic for second and third.

6 with 2-5-7 with 2-5-7

Race 7

THE $1 MILLION BC TURF SPRINT

O’Brien sends out No. 8 Washington DC who looks like a very tough sprinter from France. No. 14 Celestine 8/1 gets a good post for this and Mott puts her vs. the boys. 8-14

Race 8

THE $2 MILLION BC JUVENILE AT 1-1/16

No. 1 Klimt will try and turn the tables on No. 7 Gormley who will find more early speed to press him this time around. No. 2 Syndergaard will be out winging on the front end with Gormley and that could set it all up for No. 9 Practical Joke from off the pace. 1-9**

Race 9

THE $4 MILLION BC TURF AT 1-1/2

No. 4 Flintshire will be one of the favorites in here but we also like No. 10 Found who was also thinking about running in the classic. She has beaten the boys before and has won over $7 million. No. 12 Highland Reel is the stablemate of Found and finished second last time out behind her. 4-10-12

Race 10

THE $1 MILLION BC FILLY AND MARE SPRINT AT 7 FURLONGS

We will take a shot with bombs away here and go with No. 12 Finest City as big race Mike Smith gets on today. This filly has been working lights out and looks to be sitting on a monster race. The others in here are No. 2 Haveyougoneaway, No. 6 By the Moon, No. 8 Carina Mia, No. 9 Paulassilverlining and No. 10 Wavell Avenue. 12**-2-6-8-9-10

Race 11

THE $2 MILLION BC TURF MILE

O’Brien looks to really want to win this as he sends out No. 2 Alice Springs, No. 12 Hit It a Bomb and No. 14 Cougar Mountain, we will use all three. No. 8 Tepin looks the main danger. 2-8 with 12-14

Race 12

On the surface this race is all about No. 4 California Chrome and No. 10 Arrogate. It depends on if Arrogate can come near his last spectacular win, if so this will be a great horse race. The longshot play here is No. 6 Melatonin who is a perfect 2 for 2 at this distance and is in top form. 4**-10**-6
