Player Props, TD Scorer Bets to Consider for MNF

Russell Wilson Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-128, FanDuel)

In a game in which Wilson faces the team he wanted to depart from, the quarterback looks to make a statement. Wilson is now in a system where he can thrive as a passer after being somewhat limited in Pete Carroll’s run-heavy offense.

Wilson faders may see last season as a sign of old age, but we see it as just a down year that was plagued by a finger injury. Yet, the 33-year-old still threw for two-plus touchdowns in six of his final seven games in Seattle. He also had the fourth highest passing touchdown percentage (touchdowns per attempt) last season.

With Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, and Albert Okwuegbunam as his main pass-catching weapons, it’s possible we see Wilson throw for three or four touchdowns.

D.K. Metcalf Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+195, FanDuel)

At nearly 2-to-1 odds at FanDuel, this is an obvious grab. Metcalf is one of the most productive touchdown machines in the league, scoring 12 times last season and 10 times the year before.

Skeptics say the star Seahawks receiver won’t have the same success without Wilson this time around. But if you look at the three games that Metcalf played in without Wilson, the former scored one-plus touchdowns in two of them.

He doesn’t have the most favorable matchup against Denver, but his talent is undeniable. Whether it be in the red zone or on a deep pass downfield, Metcalf has a solid chance to score six points and to score you some money.

H2H TDs: D.K. Metcalf (-110, DraftKings) ‘More TDs’ vs. Albert Okwuegbunam

Metcalf’s and Albert Okwuegbunam’s ‘anytime touchdown’ prices are +180 and +240, respectively, at DraftKings. But their head-to-head touchdown battle is a pick’em, which makes this a steal in favor of Metcalf.

Metcalf’s the first receiving option – and is behind just Rashaad Penny in overall touches – on the team. Meanwhile, Okwuegbunam may be the third receiving option on his team, but will also have to compete with running backs Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon for opportunities.

Metcalf is simply way more important for his respective offense – and is way more of a touchdown threat – than Okwuegbunam is.
