As Las Vegas enters its second full week of being back in action, there are some positive things to note. Whether you want to “Make Parking Great Again,” or if you are calling for “Defunding Parking/Parking Reform,” it may be safe to say that you are enjoying the free parking at venues on the Las Vegas Strip.

Another positive is found in what seems to be a trend in looser slots/games. A guest won $168,581 after hitting the Jumbo Bingo Progressive at Red Rock Casino. That is welcoming news for any player.

Several places are ramping up their promotions as they get back in the swing of things following their reopening. Here’s a look at a few of those:

Station Casinos: Although Red Rock had a massive payout, Station Casinos is making an adjustment to its Boarding Pass program, adding difficulty in gaining points. Players will no longer accumulate points on non-gaming amenities and table games. However, guests choosing table games can still earn comps and access to table games promotions.

Another change: You now earn one base point for every $2 of coin-in on video poker and multi-game boxes, video blackjack and electronic table games. You still get one base point for every $1 of coin-in on video reel, reel slot and standalone keno machines unless it is noted otherwise.

An alternative way to build points is by signing up for Station Casino’s Mastercard credit card, where you can earn 30 points for every dollar you spend at Station Casinos upon approval.

The D: The “June Monsoon of Cash $5K” slot tourney takes place from June 22-24. If you missed out on registration, no worries. The “Firework Frenzy 5K” slot tourney takes place from July 6-8. Make sure to sign up by June 29.

If you are looking to come visit Vegas or interested in a staycation, The D is offering 20 percent off rooms when you book a two-night stay, and 30 percent off when you book for three-plus nights. It’s something worth considering if you plan on heading downtown. You can take advantage of this offer if you book by June 26 and stay before August 31.

Rampart: You have a chance to a share of $10,000 during Rampart’s “Social Distance Dollar Drawings.” You can participate at 6 p.m. this Friday and Saturday by earning 10x points entries Monday through Thursday. A cool feature to this contest is you do not have to be present during the drawing to win.

Venetian: In an effort to give back to essential workers, The Venetian is offering up to 25 percent off your hotel stay. To take advantage of the Venetian’s “Give Love” offer, you just have to book your stay by August 31, and stay at some point before December 29.

By booking, The Venetian will donate a suite night to an essential worker/first responder through its “Get Love” program. A win-win for both sides.

Downtown Grand: Every Friday and Saturday from now through August, the Downtown Grand is selecting 10 winners an hour to win up to $50 in free slot play in its “Sizzlin’ Hot Seat” promotion. Just sign up for the free Grand Rewards Club and play slots and table games for your chance to win.

You also have a chance to win a share of $25,000 in cash if you win the “Grand Gameshow” drawing. Earn one entry for every 100 base points earned at the beginning of each month. The drawings will be held monthly, on the last Friday and Saturday of each month through the end of the year. Six winners will be drawn on each of those nights. Participants then select six out of 15 game board prize envelopes. Participants finding six envelopes that total up to $300 exactly will win the cash grand prize.
