After trailing 3-0 in the series, the Boston Celtics have roared back to force a Game 7 against the Miami Heat in the NBA Eastern Conference finals.

No team has ever overcome a 3-0 deficit, but the Celtics have a chance to make history at home. This should be a tremendous game and we are here to break down the Celtics vs. Heat Game 7 odds, props, and share our betting prediction.

Boston took the lead with 0.1 seconds left in Game 6 on Derrick White‘s last-second tip-in. This came just after Jimmy Butler sank three free throws to put Miami ahead. The Heat are now in big trouble with the series returning to Boston and the Game 7 odds reflect that. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Celtics are 7.5-point home favorites, and the series price now features the Celtics as big favorites.

Heat vs. Celtics Series Price Favors Boston Ahead of Game 7

At DraftKings, the Celtics opened the series as -550 favorites to win the Eastern Conference finals. After falling down 3-0, Boston’s series price was listed as high as +700. Now that the series is tied 3-3 — and with Game 7 on Boston’s homecourt — the Celtics are now big favorites to reach the NBA Finals, with DraftKings giving the Celtics a -295 price. This means you would need to wager $295 on Boston to win $100 in profit (if they win on Monday).

We have been giving you the series price from some of our favorite mobile sports betting platforms. Heat vs. Celtics Betting Trends & Notes

In Game 6, the Miami Heat miraculously took a one-point lead with three seconds left on the clock after Butler nailed three free throws. After a Marcus Smart prayer, which rolled off the rim, it seemed like Miami would be heading back to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2014.

The problem is that White was uncontested heading towards the rim and somehow found a way to gain possession of the ball, tip in in the basket, and do it all with a tenth of a second to spare. The series is heading back to the Bean City, and the Celtics have all the momentum.

Miami was so close to ending the series at home that having to go to Boston for a Game 7 has to be deflating, especially knowing the historical significance of this game. Still, the Heat won the first two games of the series in Boston, and they have played well on the road in the postseason outside of Game 5 against the Celtics.

With Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown starting to get hot, Boston will be tough to stop in Game 7. The shooting numbers are getting much better as the series goes on, and so has the defense, which has clearly affected Miami.

The Heat came into the Eastern Conference finals as a hot shooting team. While they still shot 46.7% from deep in Game 6, Boston dominated the paint and forced a lot of tough looks, which the offense took advantage of even if they only shot 20% from behind the arc.

In the 150 instances that a 3-0 series lead has occurred, this is the fourth time the team trailing forced a Game 7. While none of those teams won, Boston is the first to play Game 7 at home, and the Celtics are one of the best home teams in the NBA this season.

Miami Heat Betting Trends

Boston Celtics Betting Trends

  • Boston is 2-4 ATS in its last six games
  • Boston is 12-5 SU in its last 17 home games
  • Boston is 1-4 ATS in its last five games when playing s the favorite
  • Boston has won four-straight Game 7s, and are 27-9 all-time

Heat vs. Celtics Game 7 Prop Bets

Caleb Martin Over 2.5 Made Threes (+140, DraftKings)

For how well Caleb Martin has shot the three in the postseason, DraftKings offers tremendous value for his 3-point prop. He has gone Over this number four times in this series, and in the two games he did not hit this prop, he shot 2-of-5 from beyond the arc.

Martin is taking five 3-pointers per game for the playoffs and making 2.1 of them. While that leaves us under the number, he has taken more long-range shots in this series and is averaging 3.0 made threes per game against the Celtics.

The Heat are shooting 38.5% from deep in the playoffs on 33.9 attempts as a team. From Martin to guys like Max Struss, Duncan Robinson, and Gabe Vincent, Miami has shot incredibly well in the playoffs. If they are to win Game 7, the three-ball has to be a fixture in the offensive game plan tonight. If that is the case, Martin should get enough attempts to make us feel comfortable about cashing this prop.

Heat vs. Celtics Game 7 Predictions

This is probably the most exciting Game 7 we have had in quite some time. While all Game 7s are fantastic, this one has immense historical significance. Typically, these games go way under the total, with around 60% of Game 7s going under since 2003.

The oddsmakers expect another Game 7 rock fight tonight, as the total sits around 203.5 at most sportsbooks. However, both offenses are hot right now, especially the Celtics, who have been able to score from anywhere over the last three games. On the other side, Miami has still shot the ball well despite losing the previous three, and each game in this series has exceeded this number.

Since Game 4, Boston has slowed down the pace, which has resulted in more efficient possessions. However, Game 7 is the time for teams to completely lose their minds when it comes to strategy. I still expect the pace to stay around where it has been for the last three games, but the shooting from both sides gives me enough confidence that this game will go over the total.

The Heat are an absolute chore to play against, especially when the offense is lights-out from deep. Boston will likely win, but the Heat will stay around for most of the game and push this one over the number.

Celtics vs. Heat Game 7 Prediction: Over 203.5 points (Via DraftKings Sportsbook)
