Kansas City Chiefs (5-4, 2-7 ATS) at Las Vegas Raiders (5-3, 4-4 ATS)

WynnBET line: Chiefs -3 (even), 52

The skinny: The Raiders, off a frustrating road loss to the Giants, play host in their second prime-time game of the season when they face their longtime archrivals.

Facts: Kansas City held off Green Bay and first-time QB starter Jordan Love 13-7 last week as a 7-point choice at Arrowhead Stadium, the 10th time since midseason last year the Chiefs have won but failed to cover the spread.

Vegas was alone atop the AFC West heading to the Meadowlands last week before their 23-16 defeat, scoring only one TD on six trips inside the NYG 15-yard line, including a lost fumble with 37 seconds left. It’s one of two Raiders losses to teams with 3-6 marks (Bears), but they are 3-1 SU/ATS vs. winning teams.

In the high-energy MNF atmosphere in Week 1 in Las Vegas, the Raiders overcame a 14-point deficit against Baltimore and won 33-27 in OT as a 3-point dog, a victory keyed by TE Darren Waller’s 10 catches for 105 yards.

In Week 5 last season, the Raiders pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the year when they won at K.C. 40-32 as a 10.5-point dog and then miffed Chiefs coach Andy Reid when their team buses did a victory lap around the stadium. Six weeks later, the Chiefs won in Vegas 35-31, but of course, didn’t cover the 7-point spread.

Analysis: The Raiders countered the loss of speedy WR Henry Ruggs III, who was cut last week after being charged with DUI and causing death, among other things, with the acquisition this week of DeSean Jackson, one of the greatest deep threats in league history. And who better to throw to him than Derek Carr, who leads the league with 42 completions of 20-plus yards.

Mixing apples and oranges a little bit, the Chiefs have yielded 11 completions of 40-plus yards, three more than any other team. This opens a Raiders running game with Josh Jacobs, off his best game of the year (13 carries, 76 yards), and flashy Kenyon Drake, who has averaged 6 yards a carry in limited work the past five games.

The Chiefs didn’t have to worry about the deep ball last week when they held Green Bay to seven points.

Meanwhile, although top K.C. running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (MCL sprain) is eligible to come off IR, it might be too soon for him to be activated.

Chiefs Vs. Raiders Pick

Raiders 27, Chiefs 21

Last week: 5-9 ATS, 8-6 SU
Season total: 67-66-3 (.504) ATS; 85-51 (.625) SU
