One of the features of the many keno games in Las Vegas is the comfort of chairs in the keno lounge. And, the most comfortable lounge chairs are in the small, non-smoking RNG game at the Golden Nugget in downtown.
These chairs may be more comfortable than the chairs in your living room. They are large and plush! In addition, no one will be smoking in them.
The game is open Sunday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 11 p.m., seven days a week.

Of course, having a good game is the reason you would want to play, and Golden Nugget complies with their $1.25 special rate with excellent high end payouts. The 6, 7, and 8 are particularly good with SOLID hit payouts of $3,000, $15,000, and $40,000, respectively. You can play at a quarter a way, or if you play for 50 ways or more, a DIME a way.
Comfort and less strain on your bankroll in a non-smoking environment – hard to beat!
Let’s look at some examples.
You can play a ticket with groups of 2-2-2-1-1-1 at a quarter a way playing the sixes, sevens, eights, and nines. You will have a total ticket cost of $5, playing the $1.25 special rate at 25 cents a way. There is one 9, three 8’s, six 7’s, and ten 6’s.
Or try 2-2-1-1-1-1 for fives and up for 25 cents a way; total ticket cost $6.25. You can even play for less such as 2-2-2-1-1, playing fives and up for total ticket cost of $3.25 (one 8, two 7’s, four 6’s and six 5’s at 25 cents a way).
Another option is all kings, 1-1-1-1-1-1-1, playing one 7 and seven 6’s for $2 a ticket.
Do not be afraid to ask the keno writers for help in computing ways and how to properly write your ticket.
The beauty of this all king ticket is that even if you do not catch all your numbers, you still may have a large win. For example, if you play the ticket one 7 and seven 6’s, and just catch 6 numbers, you still have a caught a SOLID 6 and six 6-of-7’s; not too shabby. Of course, if you catch all 7, you get paid for the SOLID 7 AND seven SOLID 6’s!
If you want to really go for the gusto, play nine kings as 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1 at 25 cents per way, playing one 9, nine 8’s, and thirty-six 7’s. Total ticket cost is $ 11.50. And, if you just get 7 of 9 you have hit it big, because at 25 cents a way you get $75 for the 7 of 9, $740 for the two 7-of-8’s, $157.50 for the seven 6-of-8’s, $3,000 for the SOLID 7, $190 for the two 6-of-7’s, and $84 for the 21 5-of-7’s. That’s a grand total of $ 4,246.50!
Of course, if you hit 8 of 9 you get $2,000 for the 8-of-9, $10,000 for the SOLID 8, $2,960 for eight 7-of-8’s, $24,000 for the eight SOLID 7’s, and $2,660 for 28 6-of-7’s a total of $41,620.
If the incredible 9-million-to-one longshot comes in, where you catch all 9 SOLID you would get the game max of $100,000. The win actually calculates to a higher amount, but the $100,000 is the house limit.
Well, what are you waiting for? Play in a comfortable, smoke-free area, and watch your numbers come up while you have the most comfortable seat in the casino. Good luck!
