Boris Diaw: PF San Antonio Spurs

There’s no telling what Spurs coach Greg Popovich will do on the back end of a back-to-back against the Clippers on Monday. He may decide to rest his stars, opening up the way for bench players to see big starting minutes, or he may decide to rise to the challenge and keep the likes of Tim Duncan and Tony Parker (who claims to be struggling with a potentially cracked rib) in the lineup. One thing that is for sure, though, is the fact that Boris Diaw has proven himself to be one of Popovich’s most reliable guys off the bench, and though he listed as a PF on FanDuel, on any given day he can slot in at either the PF position for Duncan or the Center position for Tiago Splitter, which means big minutes and the potential for full-stat lines. Diaw hasn’t seen fewer than 23 minutes in his last 7 games, and while his scoring has proven erratic (anywhere from 2 to 19 points within that same timeframe), his ability to work the boards and the potential for quality assists numbers from a big man in a Spurs offense that prioritizes ball movement makes him a great value-play at any time. Available for only $4,500, make sure to snag him as your PF2 on Monday, especially with the Spurs going up against the Sixers, who surrender the most fantasy points (50.7 on average) to opposing Forwards.

Arron Afflalo: SG Denver Nuggets

Looking for value at the SG position tonight? Then look no further than Arron Afflalo. A starter that consistently puts up 15+ points a night and averages 20.8 fantasy points, Afflalo has emerged as one of the Nuggets primary scoring options, and he’s taken advantage of every opportunity. Coming off a masterful 22 point performance against the Phoenix Suns, the Nuggets head into Utah on Monday, and while Utah only gives up the 16th most fantasy points to opposing Guards (36.2 on average), Afflalo’s consistent workload of close to 30 minutes per game means he could record his fair share of that 36.2 tonight. In his last ten games, he’s only put up fewer than 20 fantasy points twice while managing 4 25+ fantasy point games. At $5,200, Afflalo is a great pick-up at the SG position, especially on a night when picking will be slim and players will likely want to load up their lineups with big-names, high-priced PGs and PFs.

Paul Pierce: SF Washington Wizards

There’s little left to be said about the seemingly ageless veteran that is Paul Pierce. While he certainly isn’t the lethal presence he was earlier in his career, he has been a stable and consistent producer as the Wizards’ starting Small Forward, though his age has limited his minutes to levels that aren’t quite as high for a starter as one might hope. That said, Pierce has averaged 23.8 fantasy points per game thus far this season, and is only a few games removed from a 40 fantasy-point performance against the Milwaukee Bucks. Averaging 13.1 points, 1.3 3-pointers, 5.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists, Pierce is a great value play at the SF position tonight as the Wizards face off against the Heat at home. Pierce very well could go off for 25+ points against his former team, and at a comparably small $5,700 cap-hit, he’s a solid SF1 or SF2 option for your lineup. Don’t overlook the crafty veteran tonight.
