THE $100K SHARED BELIEF AT A MILE ON THE DIRT FOR 3YO

Van Dyke gets on No. 4 Shivermetimbers for Hollendorfer, this colt is a perfect 2 for 2 here at Del Mar. No. 1 Cool Bobby comes off a nice try in the Iowa Derby and owns a nice last work. 4-1

Race 4

Maiden fillies and mares travel 1-1/16 on the grass. No. 3 Loving Moment has run two good races in her four race career and both came when Tyler Baze rode her. He is on today and this filly just missed at Santa Anita on the grass with Tyler up. No. 7 Untouched Elegance goes long and gets Gary Stevens off a big last work. No. 8 Market Sunset also goes long and gets grass for this her second start for D’Amato.

$20k maiden fillies and mares go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 5 Pray for Corday gets her 3rd start at the meet and has a big last work, Jockey Ceballos is still looking for his first win at the meet. No. 9 Amore Gattina comes off the layoff but gets a big class drop as does No. 11 Fantastic Chloe. 5-9-11

Race 6

$50k runners travel 1-1/16 on the grass. No. 1 Conquest Typhoon loves this track winning 3 of 4 with a second. Ditto with No. 2 Terrys Tom Cat who has won 4 of his 8 starts on this turf course. 1-2

Race 7

THE $200K PAT O’BRIEN AT 7 FURLONGS

Sadler has had this race circled for No. 1 Catalina Cruiser who has been working sensational off his last win, he looks to stay undefeated. Paco gets on the Peter Miller runner No. 4 Roy H who he was on for the win last year in the True North at Belmont. No. 5 Ransom the Moon comes off a Grade I win in the Bing Crosby. No. 8 Battle of Midway was last seen here winning the BC dirt mile, he is a perfect 2-for-2 on this course. 1-4-5-8

Race 8

Optional $40k runner go five furlongs on the grass. No. 6 Smiling Angelo is the speed and will love this course. No. 2 Placido comes off the layoff but looks very live. 6-2

Race 9

$20k claimers go a mile on the dirt. No. 1 Kona Coast drops to his level. No. 6 Taniko is the stablemate of Kona and gets his first start off the claim and the win here on the 1st. Trainer Andrew Lerner is having a great meet winning with 3 of his 6 runners with a second and a third. He sends out No. 7 Run Like Rhett off a blistering last work here on the 18th when best of 73 runners. 1-6-7

Race 10

Maiden’s travel a mile on the grass. No. 4 Paladar comes off the layoff for Carla Gaines who at one time always had a good Del Mar meet, she is looking for her first win and we note that Van Dyke gets a rare ride for her. No. 6 Noivo just missed last out at Santa Anita back in June gong a mile on the grass, Stevens sticks. No. 10 Sellwood exits our HTW list off a good second here on the grass on July 18. 6-10-4
