Race 1

No. 2 Plum Dandy will give the Del Mar on track fans a thrill as he passes the stands for the first time with the lead. No. 7 Clear the Mine will be far back but the pace will be to his liking as will the drop in class. 2-7

Race 2

Peter Miller fresh off of two BC wins, sends out No. 1 Eskenforadrink, who has finished second in this last three starts at this level. No. 2 Heloise exits the same race and is the sleeper in here at a big price. 1-2

Race 3

Bob Baffert is sending more and more of his runners to the grass and he sends out No. 2 Super Patriot out off a nice win on the green at Santa Anita. No. 3 Tapitha Bonita is the speed and has been looking for a grass race second off the Spawr claim. No. 8 Majorie E has won two of her three starts on the grass here at Del Mar. 2-3-8

Race 4

$100k 2yo maidens go six furlongs and it seems like Baffert wins all these races. He sends out first time starter No. 1 Trojan Magic off some good works. No. 3 Easy Shot has run two times and both were 4th place finishes here vs. better. 1-3

Race 5

Trainer John Sadler comes into this meet off a high after winning his big race in the Breeders Cup. He sends out No. 1 Take Charge Gal with Bejarano sticking with her. He also sends out No. 2 Foxtail who exits the same race. No. 9 Sunday Prophet also exits the race and gets Prat back on today, her last win came when Prat rode her, she will be our key runner. 9***WITH 1-2

Race 6

No. 2 Red Envelope gets off the grass and back to Del Mar where he ran two big races. No. 6 Clyde’s Pride has finished second in all three of his starts and now will try the dirt for the first time and sprinting.

Race 7

There is very little early speed in this mile turf race with the exception of No. 2 Psycho Sister who will be out with a big lead, she owns a big last work and the drop in class will only help her chances of going wire-to-wire. No. 4 Excellent Sunset is in from Keeneland where she ran some big races. No. 6 Quebec is in tip top form and owns a win and a second from her two turf races here. No. 7 Way to Versailles is the other speed in the race, she will keep the Psycho Sister honest. No. 8 Tonahutu has run four straight big races and exits the same race as Quebec and Versailles. When all is said and done we will opt for the three runners exiting the same race. 6-7-8

Race 8

This eight race card ends with $32k maiden 2yo fillies going 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 1 Kate’s Princess and No. 2 Tiz a Master both look good first out of the box. No. 5 Norwegian looks best of the ones that have run.
