Race 1

$80k maiden 2yo runners go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 1 Istain Man is trained by Luis Mendez who is a good trainer when it comes to these young runners, this one is live. No. 3 Verified ran a good second at Los Al TB last out and gets Rafael Bejarano back on today. No. 8 Itsthattime, is a first time starter for Jeff Bonde with a big time last work. 1-3-8

Race 2

$40k optional fillies and mares travel a mile on the main. No. 2 Lucky Peridot got off the grass last time out and won by 14 lengths at Los Al TB going this distance. She has come back with a good work out on this track and the hot riding Flavien Prat will stick with her. No. 5 Into Chocolate comes off a nice maiden breaker at Santa Anita and Mike Smith sticks with her. 2**-5

Race 3

Calif. bred $20k optional runners go five furlongs on the grass. No. 1 Portando exits our HTW list off a neck loss last out going this five furlong turf distance at Santa Anita. No. 6 Tiger Dad went wire-to-wire in his last start back in January when going down the hill at Santa Anita before all the fireworks. He took time off and looks ready to fire. No. 8 Three Ay Em also exits our HTW list, he exits the same last race as Portando, he was just a length back despite trouble. 8**-1*-6
