DEL MAR

Race 1

We start this nine race card with 2yo maidens going six furlongs. No. 1 Palace Prince was sent off at 6/5 in his debut race at Santa Anita when going 4-1/2 furlongs. He will love the longer trip and Mike Smith sticks. No. 3 Billy Batts ships in for Peter Miller looking for some of that ship and win cash, he has been turfing back East. No. 5 Fredericktown is a very live first time starter for team Desormeaux.

1-3-5

Race 2

Maidens travel 1-1/16 on the grass. Mike Smith looks to take down the early double as he jumps on No. 1 The Longest Night on the stretchout and first on the grass. No. 3 MOODY JIM will be our key runner in here as he is in from Churchill Downs where he was a good 4th in a loaded field. We love Drayden Van Dyke riding for Jeff Mullins. No. 5 Succeedandsurpass is in from Ireland and lands in the Richard Baltas barn, he is a must use. No. 7 Mo Forza was a good second in his last race going this turf distance at Santa Anita.
