$16k runners go 5 ½ furlongs. No. 5 Polity owns a huge last work for this his 3rd start off the layoff, look for a big effort. No. 6 Whatsittoya looks the speed. No. 7 Conquest Smartee will be sitting chilly off the hot pace. 5-6-7

Race 3

$40k optional claimers travel five furlongs on the grass. No. 3 Legends of War gets a turnback to a turf sprint. He ran a good second one race back in the Desert Code. No. 5 Stop the Violence comes off the layoff for the hot trainer Peter Miller. This 4yo gelding won his last start here going this five furlong turf distance here last August 10th. No. 7 North County Guy is the closer and gets the good turf jock Drayden Van Dyke up for Richard Baltas. No. 8 Eagle Song takes the blinkers off an owns a huge last work, he could be a big overlay.

THE $200K GRADE 2 SORRENTO FOR 2YO FILLIES AT SIX FURLONGS

Jockey Julien Leparoux is in from Saratoga and will stick with No. 1 Comical who won the Grade 3 Schuylerville. Trainer Simon Callaghan sends out two live runners. No. 3 Amalfi Sunrise off a huge win first out when bet down to even money. Next there is No. 4 Shedaresthedevil who is in from CD off a big win and now moves into his barn. 1-3-4

Race 6

$40k claimers go five furlongs on the grass. No. 3 Castle gets back to the level of his last win, he won going down the hill at Santa Anita, No. 6 Eric the Trojan was re-claimed by trainer Jack Carava, that is a good sign. 3-6

Race 7

$50k cal bred maiden fillies and mares go 5 ½ furlongs. No. 2 Second Avenue just missed at this level and distance last out at Los Al TB. The runner who finished in front of him came back and won next out. No. 3 Virginia Hall drops and owns a big last work. No. 7 Dunbow Road exits the same last race as Second Avenue and is a must use in this her second start, she can only move forward. No. 8 Goddess Aphrodite is a first timer for Peter Miller, her last work says yes. 2-3-7-8

Jerry Hollendorfer is back in action and he sends out the win machine No. 4 Vasilika who has won 2 of her 3 starts here. She comes off a big win in the Grade 1 Gamely. No. 9 Elysea’s World is the price play, she exits the same last race and was only two lengths back. 4-9

Optional $40k fillies and mares go 6 ½ furlongs. No. 1 Message came off the layoff last out and just crushed straight maidens at Santa Anita. She has work good since that race. No. 7 Tijori looks very sneaky off the layoff for trainer Simon Callaghan. This girl was last seen running at Belmont last year going off at even money in the Astoria. No. 9 Give Me a Hint just did not like the grass last out, look for a big turnaround from off the pace. 7**-9-1

Race 10

$62,500 maiden fillies and mares travel a mile on the grass. No. 8 Dulverton Darling exits our HTW list and gets her first start off the $50k claim. We like the move up in class, she gets first time Lasix and blinkers on and Drayden Van Dyke in the irons. We will take our shot here and single in the last leg of the late pick four. 8***
