Race 1

$40k fillies and mares go five furlongs on the grass. No. 1 Swirling gets Victor Espinoza up for the hot John Sadler. Look for a big run today as she looks to turn the tables on the speedy No. 3 G Q Covergirl. 1-3

Race 2

No. 4 Unicorn looks odds on with this crew of six maiden 3yo fillies. She has run three times and has finished second in all three, that is a problem. No. 3 Crystal Lake ran good going a mile last time out on this course. 4-3

Race 3

No. 4 Staythirstymyamigo ran a solid 3rd last out and now drops into a very live spot looking to cash. She owns a win over the track. No. 1 Be Lifted Up gets a big class drop in this her third start at the meet. 4-3

Race 4

No. 3 Leroy is back in town after a quick trip to Emerald Downs, he drops and gets Joseph Talamo up and the price will be square. No. 8 Verynsky gets off the grass and will show all of his early speed today. He is one for one here at Del Mar. 8-3

Race 5

Unless one of the first time starters fire a big shot this looks to be a two horse race between No. 2 Whispering Flame on the stretchout at 5-1 and No. 9 Fantasy Game off his good run going this mile turf distance last out here on the 10th. We will make an exacta box. 2-9

Race 6

No. 2 Mo Cee Cal gets off the grass and gets a class drop. She is 1 for 1 on this dirt course and will love this 7 furlong distance, we will single. 2

Race 7

We gets cal bred maiden fillies and mares going five furlongs on the grass to end this lackluster day. Also note the bottom four runners are on the also list as only eight can run on this five furlong turf course. The question is will No. 6 Radish ever win a race as she is a 28 time loser but Doug O’Neill keeps her in with straight maidens as she has won over $200k. Peter Miller takes the blinkers off No. 2 Miss Indefatigable and puts her back on the grass, he could wake up. No. 8 Apache Pass has been working like a runner. 2-6-8
