Race 1
There will be a fast early pace in this 6-1/2 furlong race. No. 2 Mia’s Storm gets Van Dyke and he will take back and make a late run at a big price. No. 3 Southern Treasure comes in from up north and is in top form for a good trainer and jock. No. 8 Nazareth gets the bug boy Roman and he gets a big drop in class as they go all out for the win. 2-3-8
Race 2
$20k maidens go seven furlongs. No. 3 Colonial Power gets a big drop in class and will wake up big time in this soft spot. No. 5 Cleanup Hitter is the one to beat off his last good effort for a $40k price tag. 5***-3
Race 3
Optional $75k 3yo fillies go 1-1/16 on the grass. No. 3 La Force just missed one race back at this level. No. 4 Helen Hillary has a big last work and the price could be right. Kent D gets back on No. 6 Cynthiana who broke her maiden here at this distance, she also owns a big last work. No. 7 Pacific Wind gets some class relief and No. 9 Tooreen Dancer is in from Ireland where she won first out of the box, she makes her 3yo debut and is the stablemate of Helen Hillary. 3-4-6-7-9
Race 4
$50k maiden 2yo go 5-1/2 furlongs. The brothers Desormeaux hook up with first time starter No. 1 Liska. No. 4 Royal Trump is a first time starter out of the dam Royal Woodman who has dropped 7 winners from 7 starters. Trainer Peter Miller sends out two in here No. 3 Bold Determination with Prat and No. 9 Texas Wedge with Roman. 1-3-4-9
Race 5
Optional $20k runners go five furlongs on the grass and they will be scorching from the bell which will set up No. 6 Eight Spokes who comes off the layoff and the horse to beat No. 8 Plate Side who is coming off of back to back good efforts down the hill, he will rate right behind the hot pace. 8***-6
Race 6
Optional $62,500 runners go 6-1/2 furlongs. No. 6 Aristocratic gets some class relief and has a big bullet work. No. 7 Distinctive B is on a nice win every other race pattern and this is his win race. No. 9 American Pastime has done little wrong in his three races winning two and just getting beat by a half length in a troubled start one race back. 9**-6-7
Race 7
THE $75K OSUNITAS AT 1-1/16 ON THE GRASS
No. 4 Mrs McDougal comes off the layoff, she has won 5 of her 10 turf races and fits with Prat riding. No. 7 Madame Stripes was a solid second behind Enola Gray in her last start the Grade III Wilshire. 4-7
Race 8
Cal bred 2yo maidens go five furlongs. No. 1 Suit of Lights ran big in his one start and is the one to beat. No. 3 Unobtainable is a first time starter for Kitchingman who has done very good with first time 2yo at this meet in the past, he has been working like a runner. The bug boy gets on first time starter No. 7 Time for Cioppino for long shot trainer Gary Sherlock, this one is a must use. Trainer Scott Rollins can also strike with a first time 2yo and he sends out No. 10 Southern Warlord and the price will be right.
