Well what can I say, what has happened to the Buckeyes?
They seem messed up (due in part to Michigan State) and that is not like an Urban Meyer-coached team. Is something amiss in Columbus?
Notre Dame has control of its own destiny. All they need to do is beat Stanford this week on the road, which will be no easy task. In the last four meetings the Irish won twice at South Bend and Stanford won twice in Palo Alto. The Irish this Saturday are getting 3.5 points.
Thanksgiving is Thursday and we all give thanks, especially if we can get some winners, and there will be three NFL games and two college matchups. This prognosticator will try and pick a five team parlay and improve on our push week.
CFB Last Week: 5-5-0
CFB Season: 65-44-3
South Florida NL at Central Florida: The folks at ESPN would love to have a different game. No ratings and no one in the stands for this game as the winless Knights, who couldn’t even beat Furman this year, play the surging revenge-minded Bulls, who have won and covered 6 of 7 with their only loss to Navy. The ones that will be in the stands in Orlando will have bags on their heads. Blow out, we will lay the lumber. SOUTH FLORIDA.
Texas Tech +1.5 at Texas: The last home game for the Longhorns as they travel to Baylor next week. Texas has been one of those off-and-on teams and was enjoying a bye week after getting crushed at West Virginia, 38-20. Texas Tech got off its losing streak with a win over Kansas State. The Red Raiders were crushed by Oklahoma, who Texas happened to beat. We will side with the home team. TEXAS.
Ohio State +2 at Michigan: (9 a.m., ABC): Urban cranked up the practice this week as he and his Buckeyes come off a rare loss at home. Meyer was hired to do one job and that is to beat hated Michigan. We will find out who the best head coach is, Urban or Jim Harbaugh. This bettor says the Urban legend will find a way to get the win. His Buckeyes have gone 9-0 ATS as dogs when coming off a loss. Bet the money line. OHIO STATE.
Alabama -13.5 at Auburn: The Tide is high but I’m holding on. I’m gonna be your No. 1. Blondie sang it and we agree the Crimson Tide will be No. 1 this year but need to beat Auburn, and the way their defense is playing they will get the job done. You can bet Nick Saban will not forget his last visit to Auburn when the Tide lost, 34-28. ALABAMA.
Clemson -16.5 at South Carolina: Steve Spurrier knew what he was doing when he jumped ship in the middle of the ocean. Clemson was just going through the motions in their 20-point victory last Saturday and now if the Tigers want to stay on top they need an eye-popping win. The not-so-Gamecocks who lost to The Citadel last week have gone 0-6 ATS when coming off a non-conference loss. CLEMSON.
NFL FOOTBALL – Thursday
Eagles -1.5 at Lions (46): The Lions were crushed last year in Philly and somehow have won back-to-back games, both as a dog, doing it with defense. The Eagles have dropped two in a row and were crushed Sunday at home by the Bucs, 45-17. Philly has gone 0-9 ATS when coming off back-to-back home games and then hitting the road to play a team with revenge. LIONS.
Panthers +1.5 at Cowboys (46.5): So the bookmakers have posted the early line with the Romo-led Cowboys a favorite over the undefeated black cats? Is this a trap? Well this bettor will fall for it and take the +1.5. Also planning to key the Panthers in all my teasers +7.5. Look for the black cats to continue to roar. PANTHERS.
Bears +8.5 at Packers (47.5): Well the tryptophan, the win and the bear will be kicking in at this point of the turkey day. As usual we have the Bears taking on the Packers and this just may not be a tryptophan game. The Bears lost at home to the Packers in their season opener, 31-23, when getting 7 points. Two years ago the Bears beat Green Bay at Lambeau. The Bears have gone 7-0 ATS with double revenge vs. a division team coming off a double digit win. We will take a shot with the points. If it gets bad, we will take a nap. BEARS.

Have a great Thanksgiving and always remember to get off that couch. If you don’t want to cook or have anyone to cook for you, just go down to one of our great buffets and have a nice Thanksgiving Day dinner. As always make some bets. You could be walking around lucky and not even know it.
