Devils vs. Rangers Game 6 Odds: Moneyline, Puck Line, Total
Taking the 3-2 series lead with their win Thursday night, the Devils moved to -320 on the DraftKings series price to advance, with the Rangers offered at +250.
For Game 6, the Rangers opened at -125, with the Devils as the +105 road underdogs on the moneyline. The Over-Under is 5.5 (Over +100, Under -120). The Rangers are +195 on the -1.5 puck line.

Schmid the Kid Red-Hot in Goal for Devils
Devils Dominance is getting ominous to the Rangers, as Game 5 featured the biggest beatdown in the series on Thursday night.
New Jersey prevailed 4-0 in a game that didn’t even look that close.
The Devils not only returned a sizable +220 on the DraftKings puck line, but did so without any of their major scorers in the mix.
This wasn’t about Jack Hughes and his 43 regular-season goals. Nor was it about Nico Hischier and his 31 goals. Or Jesper Bratt and his 32.
The first goal 39 seconds into the game went to Ondrej Palat. There were two goals by Erik Haula and one from Dawson Mercer.
The Devils outshot the Rangers 43-22 and gained a shutout from one of the emerging stars in the NHL playoff, goaltender Akira Schmid.
Dubbed Schmid the Kid here this week, the Devils’ backup netminder has given up just two goals in three games. He was selected for Game 3 after the Rangers pasted Vitek Vanacek 5-1 in the first two series games in New Jersey.
It doesn’t matter who scores for the Devils. They have a smothering, defensive style backed up by a red-hot goaltender.
This has caused nightmare for the Rangers, who suddenly can’t buy a goal in this series.
Rangers Trending in Wrong Direction
The Rangers scored 11 of the first 13 goals in this series.
But since leading 1-0 halfway through Game 3, they have been outscored 9-1.
The Rangers’ power play, which notched four goals in the first two games, is 0-for-13 since.
Patrick Kane and Vladimir Tarasenko, acquired at the trading deadline to spark a Rangers cup run, suddenly can’t score. Top scorers Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad, who each tallied more than 90 points during the regular season, don’t have a playoff goal.
They each notched two assists early in the series, but have nearly been bystanders since.
New York was essentially one goal away from taking an insurmountable lead in the series when Game 3 went to overtime. The Rangers peppered Schmid with eight shots, and he stopped them all. Dougie Hamilton’s overtime tally officially put the Devils back in the series.
The big stars have all gone quiet for New York at the same time. But some of that must be attributed to New Jersey’s improved defense.
Rangers coach Gerard Gallant, who had been critical of the team’s leading players after Games 3 and 4, finally believed the team had good energy in Game 5. But Schmid and the Devils defense has become a curse of sorts for the Broadway Blueshirts.
Igor Shesterkin was stout in net for the Rangers and easily hit his prop requirements for the Over on saves.
But the team is not managing to put shots on Schmid and 23 gave them no chance in Game 5. They have notched just two goals in the last three games. Not being able to play with a lead for 2 1-2 games may be wearing on this team. To be fair, two of the first three goals in Game 5 came off of crazy bounces.
It will be interesting to see what happens if the Rangers score first.

On the other side, many could view the potential of a 3-1 Devils victory.
