If you haven’t been to Palace Station lately you might not recognize the place as they have done a complete makeover of the property.

Included in the remodel are a bunch of new restaurants, a brand-new buffet, a new sports book and a movie theater.

One of the new restaurants that they added was Boathouse Asian Eatery. The Boathouse is just not a sushi place as they have so much more on the menu.

They offer a full menu of traditional favorites like Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, Shaking Beef and Shrimp Fried Rice. They have several different dishes from the Grill like Korean Short Ribs and Grilled Razor Clams.

From the Steamer you can get a steamed half chicken, or a Cajun Boil. The Cajun Boil is served with shrimp, clams and crawfish with sausage, corn and potatoes. They have specialty seafood dishes as well such as Whole Live Lobster and Whole Live Crab. They also have a clay pot Catfish dish served with a caramelized pepper sauce.

I was here for Sushi and if you get there between 2-6 p.m., you can enjoy All You Can Eat for just $17.95. It really is a great deal and lets you try so many different items. You get to pick from both the sushi list and from a specialty roll list.

I started out with an order of Edamame, a salad, then I had a sushi order of yellowtail, halibut and tuna. All of the sushi was fresh and flavorful.

I then ordered a couple of rolls. One of them was the Crazy Monkey and it was crazy good. It had coconut shrimp, grilled pineapple, spicy crab and avocado. The coconut and pineapple made you think and feel like you were on some Caribbean Island.

For $17.95 you can’t go wrong with this Happy Hour All You Can Eat special. They also have a good Happy Hour along with a late-night reverse Happy Hour from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. That makes it nice when you catch a movie and want to grab a late-night bite.

With all the new places to eat and a new movie theater, Palace Station is a happening place just off the Las Vegas strip. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I give Boathouse Asian Eatery a rating of 3.50 Forks.
