Monday Night Football is almost upon us! With it comes plenty of opportunities for sports betting. DraftKings and FanDuel are hooking new bettors up with excellent welcome bonuses.
Read on for full details, including how the DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook promos work.
DraftKings Promo Code: Up To $1,250 in Bonus Bets
The DraftKings Sportsbook bonus offers up to $1,250 in bonuses. It’s a three-parter, making it easy to recommend for pretty much any type of sports fan, be they a casual bettor or a seasoned sharp. Let’s break down the bonus one element at a time.
First, DraftKings runs a “bet and get” promo. Place a bet of $5 or more, and you’ll receive $200 in bonus credits. It doesn’t matter whether your first bet wins or loses; you’ll get the credits either way.
Next, DraftKings gives new bettors a $50 bonus bet. This hits your account after you make your first deposit.
Finally, the DraftKings welcome bonus concludes with a 20% first deposit match up to $1,000. Claiming the total bonus would require a $5,000 deposit, but it scales. For example, a $500 deposit would still get you $100 in bonus bets.
Additionally, DraftKings runs daily No Sweat Same Game Parlay promos for existing users. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Watch for odds boosts and other promos you can use on MNF football and other sports.
FanDuel Promo Code: Bet $5, Get $150 If Your Team Wins
At FanDuel, deposit $10 or more, then place your first bet of $5+ on a moneyline wager. If your team wins, you’ll get $150 in bonus bets. A winning selection gets you $150 on a $5 bet, making this an excellent option for betting on a heavily favored team.
As an added benefit, FanDuel offers three free months of NBA League Pass for bettors who place a $5+ wager on qualifying NBA games.
The only real downside of the FanDuel bonus is the requirement that your bet wins. It’d be nice to get bonus credits either way. However, using the promo to bet on an uneven matchup can increase your odds of earning the bonus.
Monday Night Football Preview: LA Chargers At NY Jets
Tonight’s MNF matchup pits the 3-4 Los Angeles Chargers against the 4-3 New York Jets. Despite the disparity in their records, sportsbooks give the LA Chargers the edge in the matchup. FanDuel sets the Chargers point spread at -3.5 and the moneyline at -184, as of this writing.
Even though they enter this game with a losing record, I like the Chargers to take the win here. Last week, they demolished the Bears by 17 points, but the two weeks prior saw LAC meet up with two solid teams: the Chiefs and the Cowboys. The Chargers put up 17 points in both losses.
Still, it shouldn’t be easy to discount the Jets this week. The team comes off a three-game win streak, taking down the Broncos, Eagles, and Giants. One week before that streak began, the Jets lost to the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs by only three points. Considering the Jets lost Aaron Rodgers minutes into the season, their performance has been promising.
Against the Giants, QB Zach Wilson threw for 240 yards and a single touchdown and led the team in running with 25 rushing yards across four carries. It’s all fine and dandy, but that telegraphs the team’s strengths to a capable Chargers defense. Plus, LA has plenty of weapons on offense.
The Jets may be full of surprises this season, but I like the Chargers to put on an electric showing and pull this one out.
