The wait finally came to an end for the Bayou State bettors Friday with the launch of online sports betting in Louisiana. DraftKings was among the first sportsbooks to go live and is offering bettors a generous welcome bonus when they register for a new account — but DraftKings Louisiana is not stopping there.

DraftKings has a special odds boost running in Louisiana for bettors interested in Tuesday night’s Ole Miss-LSU men’s basketball game. You must be in Louisiana to take advantage of it, of course, but if you are, this is not one you want to pass up!

DraftKings Louisiana Ole Miss-LSU Odds Boost Promo

For Tuesday night’s Ole Miss-LSU game, DraftKings Louisiana is offering +100 odds on a bet for either team to score. In other words, if either team scores, you will double your money on a max $25 bet.

Simply click the ‘Either Team To Score’ tab located under ‘DK Promotions’ on the DraftKings app or website and place a wager ($25 max) and double your money (+100 is equivalent to even-money odds) when the first point of the game is scored.

There Are No Shutouts In College Basketball

College basketball games have had some incredibly low scores, but no team has ever been held scoreless. The lowest recorded score ever came in the pre-shot clock era. Tennessee beat Temple 11-6 on December 15, 1973.

This bet is a no-brainer. There are terms and conditions, of course.

You have to opt-in to the promo and select the odds boost on your betting slip (tap the ‘Either Team To Score’ tab located under ‘DK Promotions’), and you can use the boost only once. Bettors must place the wager before the start of the game Tuesday night (February 1 @ 9 PM EST), and the max bet is $25.  The promotion excludes live bets, parlays, same game parlays, free bets, cash out bets, and voided bets.

So, do you feel like turning $25 into $50?

College Basketball Odds — Ole Miss vs. LSU

On Tuesday morning, DraftKings lists LSU as a 13.5-point favorite over Ole Miss, with an over/under total of 128.  The Tigers are massive -1150 favorites on the moneyline, unattractive odds for most bettors, since they require risking $1150 to win $100. Ole Miss bettors, though, can get 7-to-1 odds (+700) on an outright Rebels victory.

Ole Miss (11-10 SU, 9-12 ATS) got off to a decent start during non-conference play (8-4). However, the struggle has been real ever since conference action got underway. The Rebels have gone 2-6 in conference play, with their only wins against Mississippi State and Florida. They head into Tuesday night’s game off a win over Kansas State.

The season has been a bit better for the Tigers. LSU got off to a roaring start, going 12-0 in non-conference play. After opening conference play with a loss to then-No. 11 Auburn, the Tigers bounced back with wins over ranked Kentucky and Tennessee teams, followed by a victory over Florida.

But the Tigers have gone 1-4 in the last five games.

Betting Analysis

LSU has struggled against SEC competition, but conference play has been even more challenging for Ole Miss. It would be surprising if Ole Miss were to pull off the upset and win this game, but LSU may not be playing well enough right now to cover a 13.5-point spread, a line bet down from -14.5

How the game will play out is debatable, but one thing is not — at least one team will score a point in this game.
