Super Bowl Preview: What to Know Before Betting on Chiefs vs. Eagles
The stage is set for what should be a thrilling, hard-fought Super Bowl.
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles took advantage of an injured San Francisco 49ers team, 31-7, in the NFC Championship game to blaze to the big game for the first time since 2018. In the AFC, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs edged the Cincinnati Bengals, 23-20, with a go-ahead field goal to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl for the third time in four years.
Hurts was this year’s frontrunner for MVP before getting hurt late in the season. From then on, it’s been Mahomes who has completely taken over the race for the league’s most prestigious individual award.
While sportsbooks varied with their opening lines, the pendulum swung early in favor of the NFC champs. Now, it’s the Eagles (between -108 and -125) who lay 1.5 points over the Chiefs (between +100 and +105).
