The league has released the 2023 NFL schedule. Now that we know who teams will be playing and when, it’s a great time to look at Eagles betting odds as Jalen Hurts tries to lead Philly back to the Super Bowl.

The Eagles open the season on the road against the Patriots. They’ll have a conference title game rematch at home against the 49ers on Dec. 3. Considering his history at Eagles games, it will be interesting to see if Santa makes an appearance at Lincoln Financial Field on Christmas Day when the Eagles host the Giants.

After signing his $255 million contract in the offseason, Jalen Hurts will look to prove he’s worth the investment.

This game will be more of an early test for the Patriots than the Eagles. Bill Belichick will hope to see his offensive line hold up against the Eagles’ pass rush and for Mac Jones to make some plays. As for the Eagles, the key will be for the team not to take the Patriots lightly. While they have not been a great team since Tom Brady left, a Bill Belichick team is never one you can sleep on.

The Eagles rolled over the 49ers with ease in the NFC title game last season, but they didn’t face a San Francisco team with a viable starter at quarterback since Brock Purdy got injured early on, forcing the 49ers to go with Josh Johnson for a while. Purdy ended up coming back in, but his injury kept the team from passing much.

A one-dimensional offense is not going to beat too many teams in the NFL, and definitely not the Eagles. So, when these two meet in December, hopefully, all the key players will be healthy, and fans will get to watch an incredible football game.

Giants vs. Eagles Odds: Moneyline, Point Spread, and Total

Here are the odds for this Christmas Day divisional matchup at several of the top sports betting apps in the country:

The Eagles are the better team on paper by far, but the Giants are one of those teams that often find a way to be competitive against division foes. Philadelphia will enter the contest riding a four-game winning streak against the Giants. The Giants have not won a game in Philly since the 2013 season (Week 8; 15-7).

Eagles Super Bowl Odds

The Eagles Super Bowl 58 odds have been near the top of betting boards since they opened. After all, not only did they make it to Super Bowl 57 where they gave the Chiefs a pretty hard fight, but they won their division, 14 regular season games, and had the No. 3 scoring offense and No. 8 scoring defense in the league.

While a handful of players from that team are not returning, with the additions the team made in the offseason, the roster may be better heading into 2023.

You can still find them as high as +850, but if they play as well as expected when the season starts, their odds will not remain that high for long.

Eagles Odds of Winning The NFC Conference

Philadelphia has not made back-to-back conference title games since they made four in a row from 2001-04. They didn’t win it until the fourth try and lost Super Bowl 39 to the Patriots.

So, with a win last season, the Eagles are undoubtedly hoping for a new trend to start this season. But no one has won back-to-back NFC Conference titles since the Seahawks did it in 2013 and ’14. A preseason favorite has not gone on to win it since the Buccaneers (+500) in 2020.

They’ll face some competition from teams like the Cowboys, 49ers, and maybe the Seahawks and Lions. But it would not be surprising to see them back in the conference title game this season.

Eagles Odds of Winning the NFC East

There is no doubt about the talent the Eagles have on the roster heading into the 2023 season. But the Cowboys are also a talented team, and the Giants and Commanders could be competitive this season. So, while they are favored to repeat as division champs, it will not be easy.

History will be working against them, too. The last time there was a repeat division winner in the NFC East was when the Eagles won from 2001-04.

Eagles Win Total

After winning 14 games last season, winning 11 (over 10.5) should be a piece of cake. Right? Not necessarily. Six of their wins were by a touchdown or less. Had one play gone a different way, they could have easily lost each one.

Could all the calls/bounces/plays go their way this year in similar games?

Of course, but there is just as much of a chance an essential call/bounce/play does not go their way this season. If history is any indication, the Under may be the way to go:

  • 2022: 14-3
  • 2021: 9-8
  • 2020: 4-11-1
  • 2019: 9-7
  • 2018: 9-7
  • 2017: 13-3

Eagles Odds of Making the Playoffs

At these odds, the Eagles have a 77.27-81.82% chance of making the playoffs this season. But there is still a chance they could miss the postseason. While it may appear unlikely they miss, you’d have to risk $340-450 just to win $100.

The risk is not worth the reward. You are better off betting on Jalen Hurts to win MVP (+1200 at FanDuel and Caesars).

What are the Eagles odds of winning Super Bowl 58?

The Philadelphia Eagles can still be found with odds as long as +850 (FanDuel), good for second shortest in the NFL next to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Who do the Eagles open the season against and are they favored?

Philadelphia opens the 2023 NFL season on the road against the New England Patriots. When odds opened, sportsbooks listed them as a four-point favorite.

Are the Eagles favored to win the NFC East?

Yes, the Eagles are the betting favorite to win the division, but the odds for the Cowboys are not much longer.

What are the Eagles odds of winning the NFC Conference?

Philadelphia is favored to win the NFC Conference with odds ranging from +300 to +350 giving them an implied probability of 22.22-25%.
