Week 1 of the NFL preseason rolls on with a Saturday night matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens. Here, we will give a full Eagles vs. Ravens odds, props, and predictions preview.

Winning streaks in the preseason season should not mean much of anything. However, the Ravens enter this game as winners of 23 straight preseason games. Because of this, FanDuel Sportsbook lists Baltimore as a 4.5-point favorite, with Philadelphia getting a +165 price on the moneyline. The total sits around 35 points at most online sportsbooks, which means the oddsmakers expect a hard-fought game.

Eagles vs. Ravens Preseason Storylines: Baltimore Resting Starters in Week 1

The Baltimore Ravens will look to extend its historic preseason winning streak to 24 games but will do so without their starters. Luckily, they have an experienced quarterback in Tyler Huntley, as well as Anthony Brown, who started a game last season, and Josh Johnson, who was forced to play in the NFC Championship for the 49ers last season.

Head coach John Harbaugh said not to expect any playing time from the regular starters, and it is unclear as of Friday if rookie Zay Flowers will play. This is still a very deep roster, and under Harbaugh, they have built a winning culture, especially in the preseason. Baltimore prides itself on playing 100% all the time and having a bright front office and top-of-the-line player development.

On the other side, Eagles’ coach Nick Sirianni has not given any official word on if Philadelphia will play any of its starters. The defending NFC champs are like the Ravens in that they are very good on both sides of the ball and have deep rosters, which should help in the preseason.

While a Jalen Hurts vs. Lamar Jackson matchup would be an exciting way to end your Saturday, do not expect many big names from either side to even play one snap. The Eagles and Ravens are Super Bowl contenders, and there is no reason to risk injury to key players in a preseason game.

Eagles vs. Ravens Props

Sportsbooks do not typically offer player props or any other traditional NFL prop for the preseason. This is because the games are too unpredictable, and it just would not be wise to bet on a player prop in the preseason.

Instead, sportsbooks will offer odds on game props such as winning margins or team totals. If you do not like the Eagles vs. Ravens odds and are looking for an NFL wager with more value, a winning margin bet could be the way to go, but keep in mind the odds are high for a reason.

Here, we have listed some of the best Eagles vs. Ravens props from DraftKings Sportsbook.

Eagles vs. Ravens Prediction

The Eagles vs. Ravens odds favor Baltimore in this matchup, and the spread has gotten even larger after the Ravens opened as 3.5-point favorites at most of the top sports betting apps. With Philadelphia catching around 4.5 points, Eagles backers have a few more points to play with.

The Ravens’ preseason win streak plays a big part in that, and they are also heavily favored on the moneyline. Baltimore may very well win this game and extend the preseason win streak. However, with the Eagles getting 4.5 points, we will take a shot with Philadelphia covering the spread.

Philadelphia has a lot of depth, competent quarterback play in Marcus Mariota, and a deep skill room. This is especially true at running back, with a few players such as Trey Sermon, Boston Scott, and Rashaad Penny that are all looking to earn a spot on the team. Defensively, I also like the young talent in the secondary, with Kelee Ringo, Eli Ricks, and Josiah Scott, all of which will be playing in this game.

Look for the Eagles defense to be sharp and for a lot of running plays with an athletic and dynamic run game. This will drain the clock and give the Eagles a better chance at covering the spread.
