Forget the data.

When the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks meet on Monday night, their combined recent record is 0-6.

There are no numbers to suggest how Seattle will overcome its 0-4 run, while Philly seeks to rebound from two crushing losses to the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys by a combined score of 75-32.

Nope. This one is about which team finds its rhythm and which signature players make signature plays.

Bettors who get an instinct on that will have an angle when they wager into the official numbers.

Eagles vs Seahawks Analysis

Philly had a grueling five-game stretch of Dallas, Kansas City, Buffalo, San Francisco, and Dallas again. By stealing a road victory against Kansas City and a home overtime triumph against Buffalo, the Eagles had won the first three of their big five.

They were due to come down to earth.

But to plummet?

Losses were expected against the Niners and Cowboys. The meltdowns — 42-19 to the San Francisco 49ers and 33-13 to Dallas — were not.

Philadelphia has only one touchdown in the last two games and the defense suddenly can’t stop anybody.

Head coach Nick Sirianni was so ticked off that he used the extra day of preparation for a full pads practice on Thursday, rather than a walk-through. He wants to shake things up.

Pegging the trajectory of this team, it seems logical that the Eagles already either hit their low point against Dallas or will reach it sometime in this game before ticking back up.

The Eagles have four games remaining, none against a team above .500. After this contest, they finish at home against the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals before visiting the Giants in Week 18.

Although technically second behind the Cowboys with both teams having 10-3 records, the Eagles have high hopes of winning the NFC East they have led all season.

They face a Seattle defense that is nowhere near that of the Niners and Cowboys. Seattle has yielded 318 points compared to 205 for San Francisco and 233 for Dallas.

That means the Eagles’ offense should have some opportunity to breathe.

Small plays and big players often lead teams out of slumps.

Look for These Players When Anytime TD Markets Go Up

Look for AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith to be targeted, Dallas Goedert to be worked more back into the lineup, and the running game to try getting untracked behind D’Andre Swift.

All the signs are there for big games by the top players. Who goes off may depend on defensive coverage. Brown has been doubled in recent weeks, allowing Smith the chance to make big plays.

Doesn’t matter. Few teams can stop both players. That team isn’t Seattle.

Brown, Smith, Goedert, D’Andre Swift, and Jalen Hurts are all good threats to score.

The potential downside for Philly is the continuation of the funk. This has not been an easy place for them to win at. Indeed, they were beaten here en route to their 2018 Super Bowl championship.

There is concern in Philadelphia over the performance of the last two weeks. Can the Eagles regain their identity?

This 6-7 team has potent weapons with DK Metcalf at wide receiver and Kenneth Walker in the backfield. Look for them in the touchdown-scoring market and to be significant throughout the game.

Seattle has played better than its record indicates. The last four weeks have been brutal.

Loss No. 1 came in a game it led most of the before losing to the Los Angeles Rams, 17-16.

The Seahawks then had to play the Niners twice and the Cowboys once.

Thanks for nothing.

The Niners topped them handily and the ‘Hawks lost 41-35 to the Cowboys in their most inspired effort during this stretch.

Seattle will start either Geno Smith or Drew Lock at quarterback against Philadelphia. Smith has been the year-long starter, missed last week with a groin injury, but has returned to practice. Recent signs point to him starting.

Lock played well enough as the team lost to the Niners, 28-16. He is more of a pocket specialist, while Smith likes to run.

Seattle will be all in for this national audience and with its season on the line.

The Seahawks finish with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, and Arizona Cardinals. It’s not unfathomable to see them winning all three. But it won’t matter if they can’t put this one on the board first.

Nice matchup. Two struggling teams. One will find a way out.

Wild Cards

Philadelphia self-destructed with two turnovers in scoring territory, one just outside of field goal range, in the loss to Dallas.

That’s not likely to repeat.

Jalen Hurts has been the leader, carrying Philadelphia on his back when the team has been in the most difficult situations. Witness the OT scoring run against Buffalo.

Eagles vs Seahawks Betting Considerations

Eagles vs Seahawks Early Considerations (FanDuel)

If you expect a fast Seattle start and flying Philly finish, it’s +700 for Seattle to win the first half and Philadelphia to win the game at FanDuel.

The reverse scenario of Philadelphia winning the first half and Seattle claiming victory is +850.

If you want Philly-Philly, a sweep of both halves, it’s +115.

A Seattle sweep is +230.

Eagles vs Seahawks Early Player Props (DraftKings)

Because the Eagles’ offense has been quiet, some star players have attainable yardage requirements if the Eagles indeed rely heavily on the pass.

Brown, who set an NFL record earlier this year with six straight games over 125 yards, is at 80.5 at DraftKings.

Smith is 60.5. Both are -115 each way.

Tyler Lockett and Brown to combine for 15 catches is +350.

Jake Elliott to hit at least two field goals is +100. He has been money all year for the Eagles.

Eagles vs Seahawks Betting Analysis

Gamblers may seriously consider the OVER because both of these defenses are leaky.

One school of thought believes Philadelphia tries to establish the run game to settle things down.

Another believes it’s time for a monster game from Brown. He has been the team’s marquee player, other than Hurts.

It’s the national stage. It’s time.
