Ed Roski, who owns and operates the Silverton Casino in Las Vegas in addition to two major league sports teams in southern California, will be reaching out across the country to offer his expertise to a new gaming property in Maine.
The owners of the Oxford Casino in the western part of Maine, a company known as Black Bear Development, have asked Roski and Silverton Casino president Craig Cavileer to assist them in next year’s opening of Maine’s most recently licensed casino.
Silverton Casino will be in charge of determining things such as the mix of slot machines and table games, the surveillance system and even the restaurant menu, Black Bear spokesman Scott Smith told the Associated Press.
Roski, a high-stakes poker player, owns the Los Angeles Lakes and the Los Angeles Kings.
