Formula One rolls on to the Silverstone circuit for Sunday’s British Grand Prix, and the question is, can anybody beat Max Verstappen.

The Red Bull Racing driver is coming off a victory in last weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix. It was Verstappen’s fifth consecutive win — and his seventh in the nine F1 races staged this season. There’s a glimmer of hope for the rest of the field this week, as Verstappen has yet to win in eight career starts at Silverstone.

We’ll offer up the best ways to fade Verstappen in our F1 British Grand Prix odds & predictions. FanDuel Sportsbook is dealing a full slate of odds for Sunday’s race.

Top British Grand Prix Contenders

Despite having never won at Silverstone, Verstappen heads the list of top contenders in the 2023 British Grand Prix. He’s gunning for his third straight F1 Drivers Championship.

Max Verstappen (-330)

The Dutch driver has only two podium finishes in eight career starts at Silverstone. If there’s a week to fade him for an outright victory, this would be it.

Sergio Perez (+700)

Verstappen’s teammate at Red Bull Racing has two victories on the season. If you’re counting, Red Bull’s utter domination of the 2023 F1 season is reflected in a perfect 9-for-9 win count to date.

Lewis Hamilton (+1200)

Hamilton has eight career victories at Silverstone. The Mercedes driver affords some nice value at these odds, and there are other ways to bet on the seven-time F1 champion that we discuss below. Hamilton’s worth a wager at this price.

Bet on Podium Finish for Hamilton

FanDuel offers odds on podium finishes for all F1 races, which means your driver will need to finish first, second, or third.

FanDuel is offering Hamilton at +105 odds to hit the podium. This is our preferred way to play against Verstappen in the British Grand Prix.

This is a home race for Hamilton and Mercedes teammate George Russell. The England-based team has been strong on tracks that feature high-speed corners. Hamilton finished second in Spain and Australia on similar circuits this season. He also reached the podium with a third-place finish at Silverstone last year.

2023 British Grand Prix Qualification Odds

Saturday’s qualifying session for the British Grand Prix provides another betting opportunity on Hamilton. FanDuel is dealing him at +1600 odds to be the top qualifier. Verstappen is the -330 favorite.

This is a riskier play, given Red Bull Racing’s unrivaled strength so far this season. But you’re getting a nice price on a driver in Hamilton, who has been the top qualifier seven times at Silverstone.

There will be some added juice (and hopefully no distraction) for Hamilton this weekend. He’s serving as producer for an upcoming Apple Original F1 film featuring Brad Pitt. Some of the movie’s first scenes will be shot at Silverstone, with Pitt taking to the track in an F1 car.
