This week’s Falcons-Panthers matchup is a prime opportunity to dig into Week 10 Thursday Night Football props. These two teams lit up the scoreboard in Week 8, but bettors are wise to chalk that up as an anomaly. The nature of these two teams and the state of their offenses leads us to anticipate a number of Unders in Thursday’s opening-week contest.

Thursday Night Football Week 10 Player Props
Marcus Mariota Under 162.5 Passing Yards (-114, FanDuel)
Head coach Arthur Smith is happy to deploy a heavy “ground and pound” offensive approach. Mariota has attempted 20 or fewer passes on four occasions and has remained Under 163 passing yards in five of his last six. The total for Thursday’s contest is set at 42.5 at FanDuel Sportsbook, so it doesn’t profile as a game that will produce offensive fireworks — their Week 8 matchup notwithstanding.

P.J. Walker Under 25.5 Pass Attempts (-105, DraftKings)
Walker is a third-string quarterback whose best chance at success is managing the game and limiting mistakes. He’s also on a short leash after being replaced by Baker Mayfield in Week 9. Bettors have two avenues via which Walker can fall Under 26 pass attempts on Thursday. The game plan could unfold in a way that limits Walker’s dropbacks. Or worse, the Panthers could turn to Mayfield again if Walker falters early.
Week 10 betting trends: Can Seahawks be trusted?
Cordarrelle Patterson Over 6.5 Receiving Yards (-120, BetMGM)
We don’t see Mariota attempting a lot of passes which puts Patterson at a disadvantage under the context of this prop. He’s reeled in a reception in only three of five games, but all it takes is one to give him a good shot at collecting seven receiving yards and clearing the Over. There are numerous methods through which Patterson can draw a target: screen, dump off, backfield outlet, etc.
Week 10 betting tips: Don’t fix what isn’t broken
Kyle Pitts Under 37.5 Receiving Yards (-114, FanDuel)
The Falcons are bafflingly reluctant to feature their most dangerous offensive player. He hasn’t drawn 10-plus targets one time this season, yet he’s been held below five targets on four occasions. He enjoyed his best game of the season against the Panthers in Week 8, but he’s been held below 38 receiving yards in six of eight contests.
