My 2019 Las Vegas Sports Bar World Tour was fun as I got to share many of my favorite places to watch games while having a few drinks and chowing down on great food all across the Las Vegas valley.
For the final stop on our tour we went to a place that just opened a month ago as we went to The Front Yard at Ellis Island Casino.
The Front Yard is a beer garden that was built right in front of the existing Ellis Island Casino facing Koval Lane. The Front Yard is an indoor/outdoor venue with two floors. The second floor offers some great views to the Las Vegas Strip and gives more of a nightclub feel than a regular bar with leather booths and tables all throughout the upstairs level.

As any good bar would have, The Front Yard has TV’s located everywhere for your viewing pleasure. But the showstopper is the giant 18-foot big screen TV that takes up almost the entire wall. No matter where you are sitting downstairs or upstairs you will get a great view of the game on this giant TV screen. Watching the Golden Knights on this TV feels like you are at T-Mobile Arena.
Those that are familiar with Ellis Island Casino know that they have their own Ellis Island Brewery and their craft beers are featured at The Front Yard. They will rotate different seasonal craft beers as well as having all your favorite cocktails.
Now that we have covered having drinks and determined it to be a great place to hang out and watch a game it’s time to have something to eat.
The Front Yard offers a sausage flight where for $19.99 you get samplings of four different sausages. They have a Jalapeno Cheddar sausage, a Bratwurst, a Bastard Ale Sausage and Linguica sausage. This is great for sharing.
One of my favorite appetizers on the menu was the Big Ol’ Meatball for $8.99. They also have a nice Charcuterie Board for $19.99 if you want to have some wine with friends while enjoying several different meats and cheeses.
Want a good sandwich? Try the Brisket, which is slow cooked in house for 14 hours and comes with Ellis Island Root Beer BBQ sauce. Their Chicken Wings are smoked and marinated in a beer brine for added flavor.
This is a cool new place to hang out and it’s just a couple blocks from the Las Vegas Strip. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I give The Front Yard 3.75 Forks.
