Golden Knights vs Stars Odds: Puck Line, Moneyline, Total

The Stars come into Wednesday’s game on a hot streak, with five wins in their last six games dating back to Nov. 9. Dallas is one of the hottest teams in the league, and it has scored 29 goals in its last six games, a big reason it is atop the Central with 25 points.

The Knights, on the other hand, have lost five of their last seven games, including three of the last four. Earlier this season, Vegas beat Dallas at home in a shootout on Oct. 17 amid its seven-game winning streak to start the year.

Vegas Golden Knights (13-4-2, 9-10 ATS)

The reigning Stanley Cup champs are in a rut, and snapping out of it on the road against the Stars will be tough. Vegas’ recent struggles are due to their issues on the defensive end the last few weeks — the Knights have allowed three goals or more in six of their last seven games, and they’ve given up a total of 15 over the last four games. Fatigue also looms as a possible factor for this team on Wednesday, which will be playing its fifth game in eight days, all away from home.

Dallas Stars (12-4-1, 6-11 ATS)

Dallas has been outstanding the last few weeks, and Wednesday’s clash with Vegas is the third game of a five-game homestand from Nov. 14-24. The Stars have given up at least three goals in each of their last four games, but they’ve won three of those thanks to their balanced offense.

On the year, nine players have at least 10 points, led by veteran center Joe Pavelski with 17 (8 goals, 9 assists). The Stars have a nice mix of experienced scorers like Pavelski, Matt Duchene, and Tyler Seguin, along with young talent in 20-year-old Wyatt Johnston (7 goals, 7 assists) and 24-year-old Jason Robertson (5 goals, 10 assists).

The Stars are coming off an impressive 6-3 win over the Rangers and have to like their chances to stay hot on Wednesday given their recent play and the Knights’ issues over their last few games.

Golden Knights vs Stars Prediction

It’s risky to underestimate a Knights team that won the Stanley Cup last year, but the Stars have been much better than the Knights the last few weeks, making this a favorable spot for Dallas. The fact the Stars are in the midst of a home stretch and are playing just their fourth game in the last eight days (the Knights are playing their fifth in as many days, and third since Nov. 18) is another reason to lean toward the home side.

Dallas does not offer much value on the moneyline (), though, so take the Over in this one.

Pick: Over
