In honor of the Golden Nugget’s new pet friendly room program, the poker room will host the Golden Hold’em Poker Tournament to benefit the Golden Retriever Rescue of Southern Nevada (GRRSN) on Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Hosted by poker’s power couple Karina and Chip Jett and professional poker player Kristy Gazes, the buy-in for the tournament is $60 with $20 re-buys, and everyone is a winner. First place wins $1,000 and all other participants win great prizes, like Grotto gift cards, concert tickets and more.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the GRRSN, an organization that aims to find abandoned golden retrievers forever homes in Southern Nevada. The tournament begins at 7:30 p.m. To register or for more information, email: [email protected] or call 702-386-838.

South Point

Real Gaming, online poker backed by a partnership with the South Point, is extending a special invitation to new players with the “Ultimate Match” promotion. It will match balances up to $3,000 for players who had an account with Ultimate Poker.

New Real Gaming account holders must simply provide their old balance by presenting a UP account screen shot or a copy of a withdrawal check. The same dollar amount will be matched once deposited, up to $3,000.

For every $50 a player contributes to rake, $10 will be released into their account until they’ve reached a 100 percent match of their initial deposit.

Unlike other match programs where the player has limited time to earn their match, new players on RealGaming.com have up to one year to complete the deposit match.

To be eligible, players must email: [email protected] with and image or screenshot of the UP statement showing the account balance. For complete rules, visit www.realgaming.com/page/ultimate.

Good luck, and may the “nuts” be with you!
