Following a 4-1 victory in Game 1, the New York Yankees are priced at -360 to win the AL Division Series over the Cleveland Guardians, per DraftKings. We have Game 2 odds, and a preview of the pitching matchup below to help with your MLB Playoff betting.
Game 2, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 13, was postponed due to weather. It will now be played on Friday, Oct. 14 at 1:07 p.m. ET at Yankee Stadium.
DraftKings Sportsbook has NY at -140 to win Game 2, with Cleveland at +120. Be advised that the pitching matchup could be altered due to the change of schedule.
The best series betting odds on the Guardians are +330 to win from FanDuel. The Yankees best “ALDS to win” odds are -360 from DraftKings.
Caesars prices the Yankees at +400 to win the 2022 World Series. That changed from +525 before the ALDS. Cleveland is listed at +2500 (previously +1600), the longest odds among the remaining playoff teams.
The winner of the Yankees-Guardians series will face the winner of the Astros-Mariners series, which Houston leads, 1-0. The Yankees and Astros are seen as the two favorites to win the AL pennant. FanDuel prices the Astros at -105, and the Yankees at +150.

Guardians vs. Yankees Pitching Matchup, Game 2 ALDS
Game 2 was postponed on Thursday and will be played on Friday, Oct. 14 at 1:07 p.m. ET. Teams have not announced if there will be changes in the starting pitching assignments.
Shane Bieber (13-8, 2.88 ERA, 198 K) vs. Nestor Cortes (12-4, 2.44 ERA, 163 K)
Bieber is 1-0 with a 1.17 ERA in his one playoff start (one earned run in 7 1/3 IP against the Rays last week). The former Cy Young Award winner is making his first start in Yankee Stadium, regular season or postseason.
He has a 5.74 ERA against the Yanks in three starts, but none this season. Bieber is unfamiliar to the Yankees: Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Anthony Rizzo are a combined 1-for-14 against him.
But there’s reason to believe Bieber may not have the same success in the Bronx on Thursday as he did against Tampa Bay in the Wild Card round. In 2022, against a similarly tough lineup (the Blue Jays), Bieber had a 7.84 ERA in two starts.
Much has been made of the Guardians toy cannon offense (only 127 homers), but also of note is Cleveland’s struggles against lefties in 2022. This season, the G’s hit .240 with a putrid 646 OPS against southpaws.
Why does that matter? Nestor Cortes, the Yankee Game 2 starter, is a left-winger, a wrong-hander, if you will. We do have two starts this season for reference in regards to Cortes vs. Cleveland: He pitched 12 1/3 innings against the Guardians and allowed four hits, struck out 14, and allowed three earned runs. He did give up a pair of homers, to Josh Naylor and Amed Rosario.

Yankees, Guardians ALDS Game 2 Prediction
The Yankees are -360 to win the ALDS according to DraftKings. That sportsbook lists New York at -140 to win Game 2, and Cleveland at +140.
We love Cortes against Cleveland, as the Guardians have difficulty against left-handed pitching. We’re all over the +160 on the run line giving away 1.5 runs on the Yankees for Game 2. We see some balls going over the wall for the Yankee lineup, and Cortes easily handling the visitors.
GAME 2 PICK: New York Yankees -1.5 (+160)
