It’s been a while since we wrote about a burger place, but since May is National Burger Month and the first holiday of the summer just around the corner, now is a good time to have a burger.
I went to Hard Rock Café located at 3771 Las Vegas Blvd. The Café has a promotion for May bringing specialty burgers from around the world to their restaurant.
There is the English Breakfast Burger from London. This is a burger with fresh tomato, sliced ham, Portobello mushroom, sausage and a fried egg.
The Java Lava Burger from Seattle is a burger with an espresso coffee rub seasoning, topped with melted cheddar, jalapeno lava sauce, java onions, lettuce and tomato.
The Jamaican Jerk Burger from Montego Bay has mango cream cheese, jerk mayo, banana peppers and arugula.
The last featured burger from around the world was the Tandoori Chicken from Mumbai, India. This chicken burger has Monterey Jack cheese, mint mayo, crisp cucumber and lettuce.
All of the burgers come with seasoned French fries, or for an additional $3 you can upgrade to Poutine fries. For those of you who don’t know what Poutine fries are they are covered in gravy and Wisconsin cheese curds. Being from back east I love gravy on my fries so naturally I went with the upgrade and was very happy with my decision.
I also chose the English Breakfast Burger, which was simply amazing. You have so many different tastes all going on at one time. The ham and sausage with the burger was such a great combination and when you add the egg on top it just sealed the deal for me. Bring an appetite because this is one huge burger.
My buddy Cris got the original Legendary Burger, a half-pound certified Angus beef patty topped with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, golden fried onion ring, lettuce and tomato. The menu says this is the burger that started it all, and as the saying goes, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Cris was very happy with his choice.
The Hard Rock Cafe is a great atmosphere with music videos playing on the TV’s and all the memorabilia. They also have live shows at this location so if you are on the Strip and looking for a great burger, check out HRC. I give the Hard Rock Cafe a rating of 3.75 Forks.
