Race 3 No. 3 EZ RACHEL: Looked too slow for this group of starter allowance girls but had a real good work so at 20-1 looked very enticing. Rachel was squeezed at the start and fell far back in this 6½ furlong downhill turf sprint. Then she rallied from the far outside and stormed home picking up the place, losing by just a half length.

No.7 BALLERINA ANGEL: Was last seen running fourth back in ‘09 at Hollywood Park. She came back in this 20k maiden claimer and was sent off at 9-5. Won like the money was well spent. Claimed by trainer Doug O’Neill for the 20k ad he kept part ownership so the work was out on this filly. Look for her to come back in a claim proof starter allowance race in the near future. We will be singing. $$$$$
Race 8 No. 2 PINK BLANKET: We had two exiting our HTW list in this race – the winner Home Sweet Aspen and Pink Blanket. Pink was bumped and steadied hard when she got between horses at the start. Never got into the race after that and was just kept out of trouble the rest of the race. Just toss that one out as a workout and we will give her a big shot to make amends in next start.
