Race 4 — #7 Nubian Princess – Blew the start and was so far back you could not find him and I was not looking for him at 63-1. This bomber just came flying down the lane finishing second and lighting up the tote paying $43.20 for the place. Sometimes these types come right back with another big effort and we will be there.

Race 5 — #5 Crossing the Line – Had been off since August of ‘07 due to bone chips that were operated on to remove. He had some big class back then and would have destroyed this group but he was bumped and squeezed at the start and never really got into the race. There were no takers for the 32k claiming price but do believe this race did him a world of good. Look for a big run at Santa Anita if he comes back.

Race 8 — #3 Dani Reese – Usually on or near the lead, she broke slow and last today, which was a good thing. She then made a five-wide move into the stretch, rallied strongly to get the lead and just drew away. Her new style may play well and get her a repeat win.
