SANTA ANITA

CONQUEST ENFORCER: Was in the barn of Mark Casse at Woodbine. He landed here in the barn of Phil D’Amato, who looks to have a hand full of horses ready to roll. This colt was coming off a bullet work in 59 seconds and just ran them all off their feet in the Grade 2 Mathis Brothers mile. Lots to like here down the road.

MOR SPIRIT: Was starting his comeback after being on the Kentucky Derby trail. He had a tough trip here in the Grade 1 Malibu when pulling his jockey hard, wanting to run and then having to be steadied nearing the five-eighths pole. Better will come next out.

CONSTELLATION: This filly had been in the barn of Steve Asmussen and was moved to the stable of Jerry Hollendorfer who sent her to Turf Paradise where she won the Phoenix Stakes. It was the perfect prep for this 7 furlong La Brea as she got home paying $27. Must follow this filly at this distance or a mile.

BETTYS BAMBINO: Downhill turf specialist had 5 wins from his 6 starts down the hill. He was coming off the layoff for Peter Eurton but was sporting some big time works and won the Grade 3 San Simeon going away. Looks like this 6yo gelding will be very tough to beat in this downhill stakes races.

BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS: First time starter for Bob Baffert was just hammered at the windows going off at even money. She hopped in a slow start and then was all over the track, finishing 7th in a race we will toss. Give her another shot at what will be a better price.

DABSTER: Mr. Baffert was not having a very good day as this first time starter won but had his number taken down to fourth, as the all-knowing stewards said he cost others a placing after coming out in deep stretch. No mistakes next time out as this one will be a solid single. $$$$$

CLASSIC RULER: Ran huge, breaking his maiden for a $40k price tag. He was claimed by Hollendorfer and will be spotted for a repeat win next time out.
